Art Yard Sale • Brighton, by Icesay on Jun 4, 2019 19:58:22 GMT 1, Yeah, not as busy as previous years but great for anyone looking to pick up some art with no hassle. I couldn't resist the Eelus ATR. Nothing for the sneaker boys to get money with or hype....so quiet on here. Sure there is plenty of opinion about theres nothing new etc etc but of course youd have to step away from your keyboard to know that. Street art collectors are lazy as f**k.

Blek le Rat Violinist (2014), by Icesay on May 28, 2019 21:02:31 GMT 1, I think this is a very interesting print. Very interesting narrative. When I look at his face I do wonder what he is thinking. I'm not comparing it to Monalisa or anything though.

Pejac • Linea Print, by Icesay on May 20, 2019 19:45:17 GMT 1, sigh, here we go again, anyone got anything to back up that this is a 'Bargain', 'Steal', 'Great price'? Pejac's market has taken a hit after the ill-judged timed edition and all his prints are cheaper than what you would expect to pay 12 months ago
Brilliant! Which ones and where can I get them?

Discussion: when is an artist exploiting his success?, by Icesay on May 8, 2019 19:24:27 GMT 1, It's an interesting conversation. Is it the artist exploiting people or people exploiting the artist? There are people that promote artists no matter how good the art or ideas are and they do it for personal gain in one way or another. We see it here on this forum. In my opinion the consumer is as much to blame as the artist or their representative. People exploit the connections they have too. Doubtless an artist needs to survive but people don't have to support them. It's when crap art is promoted as the next big thing it all goes tits up.

Banksy • Wrong War • Pax Britannica , by Icesay on May 7, 2019 19:36:06 GMT 1, It would help greatly if you could outline the story...how you came to be there, describe the Griffin store. Provenance is key with these trinkets. I'm interested but would like to hear a true story. You say you were there so do a Hirst and give me the undeniable truth. Sorry to be so blunt but easy win if you picked it up.

Maya Hayuk "Patient Portal" Show in NYC, by Icesay on May 7, 2019 18:32:31 GMT 1, Did anyone buying in the UK get customs charges? I saw that mine is currently with parcelforce in customs clearance - this typically results in a charge, plus a disproportionate fee from parcelforce and a series of aggressive messages from them. Ugh!
Damn!...thought with those postage costs it would get through. Hopefully they calculate correctly!

Robert Del Naja IS Banksy A Stunning collection of @banksy , by Icesay on May 5, 2019 19:37:24 GMT 1, It's quite clear that very few here really know F all and if they do and have half a brain they wouldn't share. Lots of long time members that talk absolute nonsense. They don't really know shit either. Speculating or trying to sow seeds of doubt is intrinsic to the continued charade. Do your own due diligence. There is no reveal and never really will be.

Robert Del Naja IS Banksy A Stunning collection of @banksy , by Icesay on May 5, 2019 17:50:26 GMT 1, ... even jimbo admits that banksy is a team of people ... so there are a number of names that by being put forward, that are by their very nature 'correct' ... but there is only one banksy ...
In the earlier days maybe. Not anymore. Attributing the work to one person is impossible I would say.

Robert Del Naja IS Banksy A Stunning collection of @banksy , by Icesay on May 5, 2019 17:16:42 GMT 1, I think there's probably more to come on this! Steve has definitely been more suggestive recently on his insta feed like he's been building up to this. But if anyone knows who Banksy are it's him. Mention of Hirst too but no surprise there as deep pockets are needed!

New 33 screenprint, by Icesay on May 4, 2019 19:36:52 GMT 1, Ok well...as you keep promoting this artist, and I use that term loosely, it's too derivative just like the other work you posted about. Tell them to come up with their own ideas. If it's your work keep experimenting and find your own way because it's the idea that's important not necessarily the execution.
