BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by psycho666 on Nov 5, 2019 10:21:02 GMT 1, I take it that if there were 15 x Met Balls available this time but in the selected time slot there were only 2 registered interests and those 2 were selected, then there would be 13 x Met Balls available in phase 2?
So just because there were 495 limited items in phase 1, that doesn't mean all 495 have gone, based on the number of registered interests in the selected time slot?

Print Held in Position Behind Mount, by psycho666 on Oct 25, 2019 15:38:41 GMT 1, Thanks!
I’m aiming hide about 3-4cm of the print (recent Banksy GDP rat print) behind the mount.
I’ll try the acid free photo corners.

Print Held in Position Behind Mount, by psycho666 on Oct 25, 2019 15:30:00 GMT 1, When framing a print that is behind a mount how should the print be held in position?
Should the acid free backing card hold it in position or should you use a small amount of acid free tape or acid free self-adhesive photo corners to hold the print to the backing card?
Many thanks.

Banksy RAT Print, Gross Domestic Product , by psycho666 on Oct 21, 2019 11:19:58 GMT 1, I'm just having a look at what frame size to get for my rat print and I've come up with the following rough size for a black frame with a double mount:
www.pictureframesexpress.co.uk
Frame: Black / 20 x 22mm (W x H) / 6 x 19mm (W x H) Rebate
Print Size: 505 x 385mm Mount Opening: 475 x 355mm (30mm in from the edge of the print) Double Mount Square Mount Widths: 40 x 40 x 40 x 40mm (giving 10mm space between the edge of the print and frame) Top Mount Colour: Bright White or Soft White Bottom Mount Width: 5mm (5mm black showing behind the white mount) Base Mount Colour: Black
ClearView™ PlexiGlas (2mm) MDF Backing board Frame to Hang Backing Card: Museum
£56.00
EIDT: When using a mount they automatically subtract 8mm from the item width and height, so for the above I'd say the picture size was 22mm less than the actual size of the print, i.e. 483 x 363mm. This will make the mount opening 475 x 355mm after they automatically subtract the 8mm.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by psycho666 on Oct 16, 2019 16:18:14 GMT 1, How it works The shop is not first come, first served. Due to the limited number of products currently available we are opening a registration system. You have until 28th October to browse the shop and register your interest to buy a product. Please pick one item only, then enter your details and answer the question*. Entrants will be selected at random and offered first refusal to make a purchase within 7 working days with a secure way to pay.
Our price promise - never knowingly understood The artist has price-fixed the first consignment of releases at a reduced rate for lower income patrons. In most cases this is far below market value. Please refrain from registering at this time if you are a wealthy art collector.
Massive Disclaimer This is not a proper shop - it is an actual shop, it sells stuff and offers refunds and complies with data protection - but all the products are made in an art studio, not a factory. Everything is produced by a handful of people using recycled material wherever possible in a workplace culture of daytime drinking. So there isn’t loads of it and it’s not all ready to ship straight away. You are advised that GDP may prove to be a disappointing retail experience - especially if you’re successful in making a purchase.
Enter Shop *In the event of demand outstripping supply, the answer to this question may be used to evaluate your application. Please make your answer as amusing, informative or enlightening as possible.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by psycho666 on Oct 15, 2019 10:37:16 GMT 1, My sons 1st Banksy given to him last week at gdp framed up. I had a look at the ikea frames but sizes didn’t tally up so bought this one online, took a little while working it out but worth it as he loves it That looks really good. One of the best that I have seen framed!
I was just going to get a cheap Ikea 40 x 50cm Ribba frame for £7 but your one looks a lot nice.
Do you have the details of where you got it from? Is it float mounted?
Thanks.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by psycho666 on Oct 13, 2019 21:02:17 GMT 1, It’s probably a load of old rubbish but we had fun and only spent £12.90! The “signing” didn’t cost anything.
All a bit of fun in Croydon on a Sunday night!

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by psycho666 on Oct 13, 2019 20:56:08 GMT 1, I'm home now!
Timeline, as someone asked: I went to the gym (Pure Gym) but visited the shop in daylight before going in and got the first two prints (rat, flowers). We went home after the gym and I posted the first photo of the prints.
Had a wash, went out to get some dinner shopping but decided to go back to the shop in the dark. We got given two rat prints but there was a guy with the security guys and he had a red bandana over his mouth and nose and had a hood up. People were saying he's Banksy and he will sign them if you ask. I wasn't sure but other people went with him to Sub-way to sign on a flat surface and I thought "what the hell" and did the same.
We then we to a put across from the shop (Mr Fox), my girlfriend went out for a cigaret and got talking to someone on the corner of KFC. He was in a big hooded cote (fluffy hood) and big sunglasses, narrow chin. He was doing a "donation" only lucky dip. She gave him 90p and she got a t-shirt. When she came back inside and told me I went out and spoke to him and gave him £2 and got a t-shirt.
I saw that he had some canvases so thought I'd go out again and ask how much they were. He said nothing is for sale but a donation would get one. I only had a £10, so gave him that (someone else did the same at the exact some time). I then picked one of the 3-4 canvases he had (all where very similar to the one I got but with different coloured cars).
We then finished our beers and went home.
Now cooking dinner!
The other "signed" rat print is still unrolling:

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by psycho666 on Oct 13, 2019 19:58:42 GMT 1, Just two T-shirt’s from a lucky dip guy just around the corner near KFC! Might have been Banksy?! psycho666 The timeline of your post history is confusing. One minute you managed to safely get your prints home, the next you’re back there getting some more signed. Maybe you live close enough to pop back and forth that quickly. If so, we are neighbours - let’s be friends!
I live in Croydon. Went home but piped out again. I’m just in a bar across the road.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by psycho666 on Oct 13, 2019 19:43:54 GMT 1, Marker pen. He was with some of the security handing out prints. We went to the Sub Way across the road to sign on a table. He had the bandana over his mouth and nose. Said he was glad I enjoyed it. psycho666 What did he write?
Just his signature. I’ve rolled them back up but will inspect and post photos when I get home.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by psycho666 on Oct 12, 2019 14:50:07 GMT 1, Finally went today... I go to the gym above but went on holiday the day it opened. Even wondered who was setting up in there the night before. Wish I’d had a closer look!
Was good to finally get see something like this. Got some nice photos but will go back again this evening.
Still handing out posters but only to people with children... so not me! Haha!

Banksy Raffle • Dismaland Refugee Boat, by psycho666 on Dec 22, 2018 23:32:07 GMT 1, Well that was fun! 😁
I had quite a few pages of my note book filled with diagrams of boats and calculations. I even found a company in China that sells coin operated RC boats of a similar size.
32 guesses and I wasn’t close! 😆
My guesses ranged from 5,000-6,000g and then some high ones around 20,000g.
Hopefully the charity did well out of it! 😎
