Brooklynite Gallery, by BROOKLYNITE on Aug 2, 2010 3:17:06 GMT 1, To Whom It May Concern,
The concept of the "SNUB-NOSE" prints is to give collectors with limited funds and or space a chance to own a piece of work from an artist they might otherwise not be able to afford or to purchase a piece from an artist that is on the rise. In keeping with this concept we have kept the shipping costs to everyone VERY low. To be able to do this we use limited- yet very rigid packaging to ship them which allows us to not worry about customs values and duties on the buyers end.
We are however, aware that some buyers will in turn be making their purchases with the 'novel' idea of reselling them right away (some even before they receive their actual order). That is not our primarily concern here. What does concern us is when buyers claim to have never received their order then attempt to resell them on the secondary market. We would like those people to take into account the fact that these prints do have edition numbers and yes we do have internet access. Using secondary market outlets to sell them will expose you and your edition numbers to us. Also keep in mind that artists, galleries and print shops keep records of those that claim to have items lost in the mail. Buyers may claim to have lost items only ONE time with us but also ONE time with everyone else. Artists, galleries and print shops often talk to each other and share this sort of information.
The basic point here is that we would like to keep the concept of the SNUB-NOSE alive and well. We are very much about providing great customer service-- most of you already know this, so please be sure that when you contact us it's for a legitimate reason ---not for a false claim of items lost in the mail.
To those living a "clean life" we salute you.

Wow all that work to get a free $20 print or 2. You would think if the people who do these scams could use that energy to do something positive they could earn more than $20. Oh well.
I got my snub-nose prints and really like them. Mine are not going on ebay any time soon.
Thanks for doing this. I hope the few don't spoil it for the rest of us.

They should be ashamed of themselves. I really hope the few rotten apples in an otherwise barrel full of juicy golden delicious will not deter you from all your efforts Rae - they are very much appreciated. Cheers c

Brooklynite Gallery, by BROOKLYNITE on Aug 3, 2010 21:46:42 GMT 1, Don't usually do stuff like this, but thought you guys would appreciate this email exchange-- Not one is named so no harm we assume.
From a buyer to us:

hey guys,
i received my Beejoir snub nose print this week and i was a little disappointed to receive one with so much pink in it! i am not a fan of pink, when i originally purchased it i requested a gold snub nose, this one has some gold but way more pink. is there any way i could swap prints? i will happily send this one back!
thanks in advance
_______________________
FROM US:
Hi ------,
Sorry but we were not offering buyers to have a choice of color. It would just be way too complicated. We tried our best to fill requests such as yours but made not promises in terms of color. We actually don't have any gold ones left otherwise I would still do the exchange. A few pink ones still here. Maybe you can do a swap with someone on a forum?
____________________________
FROM HIM:
wow,
thanks for the great customer service dudes!
i am not sure why you would send a predominantly pink detailed print to a male customer, when the request was for gold!?
brutal
i hate the colour pink
and
i am uninterested in fucking around on a forum trying to play tradesies
can i have a refund instead?
i will gladly return it!
___________________________________
FROM US:
There were many pink ones produced by a MALE artist. Didn't realize that color was reserved for women only. Send the print back in good condition and we'll refund your money.
Great use of language by the way.
____________________________________
FROM HIM:
thank you on the compliment of language usage
pink = girl ~ boy = blue
first thing you learn as a kid
print will be returned this week in same condition as received
peace

Brooklynite Gallery, by bullet on Aug 4, 2010 17:04:25 GMT 1, some people are just not with the times.
classic yesterday. after standing in a post office line for an hour which i despise more than anything else in the world... It came to my turn and there was a woman complaining that she had posted £300 worth of premium bonds 2 weeks ago and they post office had lost them. So she was making sure these ones were signed for so she would not lose them again. But she insisted on making her feelings known for about 15 minutes rather than just leaving. She had not even posted them at that post office in the firstplace.
All the time i was thinking:
1. Stop f**king moaning 2. use the internet to buy premium bonds and dont use the f**king postal service, what year are you in? 1964 3. who the f**k buys and posts premium bonds 4. why does the woman next to me smell so bad.
seriously. blow up the uk and start again with people that know how things work.

Boys- send photos of yourself dressed in pink. Girls-dressed in blue. Best dressed gets the print. (and send the top 3 photos of each to the wanker who sent the print back.)
