Im going to take her up to the Chrome and Black paint store to meet ZOMBY and she's going to pick herself out some colours, she's going to do some pieces for you and then Im gonna do a pure evil donkey painting with a separate painted tail and we'll send you a care package when its all dry....

Also our show title suggests that she can use alternative materials to make her piece-- Hence the name "By Any Means Necessary." Have you decided if you will submit a half finished piece to have the youth here collaborate on too?

They are:
Haven House: www.Havenhouse.org.uk - A children hospice dedicated to creating a happy environment for terminally ill children.
H2 Empower: www.H2Empower.org - Dedicated to improving lives in Africa through education and sustainable development.
2 Local Brooklyn school art programs.
I hope many of you will help us raise money for these worth while causes. The kids art will be priced very reasonable. The $30 range. Also the pieces that MISS BUGS, JOE BLACK, DAIN, K-GUY, LUDO and PERU ANA ANA PERU collaborate with kids on will be posted here and priced very reasonable and auctioned off.

What does it mean for an artist to โsurviveโ in a tough economic climate?
Can business ever be โbadโ for a diligently working artist? Making an
honest living ---in a group show like NO OTHER, these artists, some legendary
and some suitably hungry, will dissolve the line between utility and luxury
for an exhibition entitled, "NOW GO GET YOUR SHINEBOX".
If youโve spent time in a "third world country", youโve had a chance
to see kids carrying ingeniously designed work boxes, set up for
shinning shoes. We find that the variety and exuberance of these
objects perfectly captures our world climate.
With the global economic downturn and the hardship it has caused
blue-collar workers throughout, we find it fitting to explore the
worldโs simplest way to make a livingโ SHINNING SHOES. We are
planning an exhibition around just that-- SHOESHINE BOXES.
However a "SHOESHINE BOX" should not be taken in the most literal sense
of the words. These objects, our inspiration, have all been created out of
necessity- a need to earn money, or further, to survive. We push โthe need
to surviveโ beyond its literal context, commissioning our favorite established
and emerging artists to design their own, "SURVIVAL BOXES".
A shoeshine box is a medium, a framework, the boundaries of which
have not been pushed ...till now.
