I am personally not aware of the posts that were deleted or their content.
Hard to talk in a vacuum but I generally do not believe in censorship provided comments are not sexiest, racist, bigoted, homophobic, bullying in nature or overtly insulting towards an individual or group of people.
I am certainly in favour of warning forum members of previous bad experiences in dealing with individuals or organizations provided none of the above applies.
On the question of libellous comments I have no idea whether the administrator of this forum or indeed the moderators are vicariously liable for any such comments made if left in the public domain.
Perhaps whoever deleted the posts could brief the membership of this forum as to the reasons why? I am positive that they were deleted for all the right reasons.

Yes, derogatory comments and slander on social networking sites is now seen in the same light as in the work place; however, if it offends then action can be taken against particular individuals, don't just block delete posts that are not liked and without any warnings whatsoever. There will be no comeback as it's all fact.

I won't be going to any BRP shows or buying anything from them if they continue to put 1 penny Goldings way, and will probably mention this on every BRP thred posted in the future, anything that supports that crook is wrong. Sad as I liked them, they knew how to put on a good show.

Did the police / legal system help you with recovering the money lost? if its a ltd company you can walk away from your debts. i was surprised he was not struck off from being a director in the future as they acquired stock when they knew the game was over for the company which is very wrong and illegal. but it depends if he was reported and if the administrator's (who are the biggest crooks pay them self's first etc) reported him. it was all very shady

As for using libelous comments I would be interested to see how for example JG could defend himself in a court of law against what is being discussed on this forum. If he requests action against Slanderous comments that have been made against him then he would indeed have to prove they are incorrect. As those people that have been affected by his actions in the past are baying for answers and blood. I would say it is unlikely he would take this path.

OK, I don’t often come on here and make comments, I’m happy to sit back and see what’s new and all that stuff as I’m a genuine street/urban art fan.
Anyway….. this JAMES GOLDING/ LEONARD STREET GALLERY thing has been going on for too long - Life’s too short for long term grudges, GET OVER IT, I have and I was one of the artists who got stung (7K - LizLam prints).
For sure, he completely screwed up but he’s not a monster and 5 years on, que sera, sera.... it happened. Back in the day I obviously had a lot of face to face with James and I’m convinced he didn’t deliberately go out of his way to rip people, things just got way out of hand. If there’s anyone out there owed some dosh, contact him, you never know he may now be in a situation to somehow recompense you. Don’t sit back and moan, do something positive. Yeah, I felt cheated, trust gone and all that stuff but do I hate his guts? No.
As I said earlier, he’s not monster just a bit of a t**t and although I haven’t spoken to either for a while, I’m pretty sure Chris (SOS) & Matty Small (two of the artists owed the biggest amounts) have also got over it, they’re just not the kind of blokes to hold onto this shit.
My advice….. forget it and move on up.

@k-Guy - Gary at MFM would still like his money. 5 yrs and que sera etc is not a long time. Having a gallery in Soho is not free even with other partners. JG will know all of the people who he owed money to. Has JG contacted them and offered to pay back any money? Rhetorical question.
The main issue now is the deletion of posts of forum members and no-one seems to know by who or the reason, not even one of the mods. I would understand the deletion of posts with swear words in them, but the swear words could be deleted quite easily. Maybe when Dan gets back he will be able to help.
