If anyone is going to the opening show for this fantastic new book release, I would be forever grateful if they could pick up a signed book for me. Living on the other side of the pond is a bit of a hindrance but I am willing to sweeten any help.

My friends went to Cuba and got a tour of all the pieces, I couldn't go because of work! Fantastic collaboration. I see another thread suggesting Parla as over-rated. Not in my opinion. But these pieces are just fantastic!

Nice big photos of both the preparatory work and the final pieces; plus, there are short sections on Cuban history, the people featured in JR's photos and some of the art theory behind what they were doing, which all help to put the work in context. Oh, and as people have probably already gathered from photos posted online, the work itself is pretty jaw-dropping.

i originally tried paying with the paypal express earlier today and got an error as well BUT did get paypal confirmation email. after waiting a couple hours and no sign of any actual transaction in paypal i called them up. they checked their paypal account and said nothing was there. the girl i spoke with put one on the side for me and i placed another order, no paypal this time, and it went through.
