Faile two new prints, by megaelch on Dec 12, 2012 9:28:05 GMT 1, As far as i understand you will need to input your email on their website together with your choice of print and they will create a list in order of emails received. First bunch of emails goes out within 6 hours and then you have exactly 12 hours to complete your purchase on their website . This process continues as long as there are prints available .... can take a few days ...

Faile two new prints, by arge on Dec 12, 2012 10:34:35 GMT 1, I took from the fact they'd used the word "submit", after you enter your email and name, that it would be a box on the website that will appear at noon. (5pm uk)
Also the store link is directly above it.
Sounds like a good system to me. Unfortunately the site will probably take about 10 mins to work in the UK though!

Faile two new prints, by LAZAKY on Dec 12, 2012 11:48:01 GMT 1, just seen this on Faile's facebook
Here's how it will work.
To purchase a print, enter your name, email address and print choice then hit submit starting at Noon.
Your name will be entered into a queue and will be processed in a first-come, first-served order. We will simply start with the first email address received and go down the list until the edition is sold out. If your email is received within the edition size available, you will receive an email which includes a Secret Code by 6pm NYC time on Wednesday. The code along with your email address will be used to log-in to a secure website to make the purchase. You will have 12 hours to finalize the purchase after the code email is sent.
If not all prints are purchased by the first group in the edition size, a second round of emails will go out until all orders in the edition size are finalized. This will be limited to one print per person.
This means that you could receive an email invoice 24, 36, 48 hours etc. after the initial release. So please be patient. We will inform everyone who submitted and email address once the edition is completely Sold Out.
We hope this works smooth and is simple for those interested.
I think using "the first come first served" combined to the secret code is a good idea, there will be no refund, and this could be easier for them to ship out as fast as possible!

Faile two new prints, by ABC on Dec 12, 2012 12:48:38 GMT 1, Seems like a good idea to me. Loads of hassle for FAILE though, why don't they just pay for a proper cart system? it would save them so much time and hassle.

Faile two new prints, by twist65 on Dec 12, 2012 12:54:35 GMT 1, yup I like this system too. I reckon each time they change the cart system on the site they will think they've cracked it, then a release drops and it gets found out.. I suppose they can only go on what their web developers tell them, and they're certainly not the only ones who struggle with high demand releases. I actually like SOS system the best - its completely rubbish, but thats part of the fun!!

Faile two new prints, by RBK on Dec 12, 2012 15:17:00 GMT 1, I'm not addressing / respectively disagreeing with anyone in particular, but I think FAILE should be highly commended on how much regard they’ve put into their quite-varied collector base over all the years. They have literally created an entry point for any type of collector interested in their work. I've had conversations with the Patricks about this before and know it’s always been personally very important to them.
Their recent (let's just say post POW representation) offerings, priced from low to high (I think I got them all - apologies if I missed any):
Books Signed Books Hand-Printed Signed Books Block Set Small-sized editions of 150/250 Book Covers Large-sized Paper Monster editions Small-sized, varied and small editioned Medium-sized, varied & small editioned Large-sized (25" x 38"), varied & small editioned Unique 1/1, small-sized works on paper Unique 1/1, medium-sized works on paper Unique 1/1, large-sized works on paper Traditional Boxes Puzzle Boxes Block Paintings Original Paintings on canvas or wood
I find it insulting anyone can look at above – and b**ch and moan about anything. FAILE go above and beyond any artist I know out there to provide their work to appreciators / collectors, responsibly set pricing, and go above and beyond when something bumpy happens with a release.
Good luck for those trying to bag one of the prints today.
