Martin Whatson • Eternal Reflection Print, by Deleted on Jun 29, 2012 6:48:40 GMT 1, Not really a private matter, just sent compliments and said i was happy he was doing well. Why ignore that.
News just in freerange is not the centre of the known universe
In other news dappy has the original of eternal reflex gag if there's anyone left in the known universe who does not realise that
In unrelated breaking news deputydawg has stolen Stephen hawkings wheelchair and was last seen headed for stringfellows

Martin Whatson • Eternal Reflection Print, by eschiff on Jun 29, 2012 10:27:56 GMT 1, so the stencil is really impressive, but i don't get the print. are people just enjoying it cause it's pretty? (nothing wrong with that) or is there some implied meaning about life i'm too slow to pick up.

Its the same image as the stencil? Generally print releases are for the people who can afford an OG or limited sprayed edition. Same as any print surely?

Martin Whatson • Eternal Reflection Print, by brooksie82 on Jun 29, 2012 10:53:04 GMT 1, Speaking of whatson. Ill speak to him here rather than like he is not here... I pm'd you last week.. The least you could do was acknowedge the compliments i sent. Its bad form to read and then not reply, particularly after you have asked for my help and ive given it in the past. I did actually ask a question and never got an answer as well. Anyway.. Really like this print. He had his first kid last week, he's a polite giving sort of guy, who obvioiusly has his priorities right. I'm sure you'll get a response when time allows. Though perhaps not after airing this.
Beautiful baby as well, he's a lucky man, can't imagine repyling to Freerange during first baby week would be my main priority either!
Not a bad print, I see that Souled Out Studios printed these, wonder why they are not releasing them?

Pretty good stencil indeed. Detailed.
As far as i know there are no deep message in this image, other then that you get an eternal reflection when looking at the astronaut helmet. But for once, a beautiful stencil. Detailed and easy to like.
But if anyone know a story behind the image, please tell

Martin Whatson • Eternal Reflection Print, by eschiff on Jun 29, 2012 14:23:03 GMT 1, but it's not eternal right? i mean, as soon as the butterfly and/or astronaut moves the image changes (right, i understand this is a static piece of art but for the sake of argument).
again, think it's a nice print, but for me not much more than a pretty picture, seems like something you could buy in Ikea

Martin Whatson • Eternal Reflection Print, by sfinks on Jun 29, 2012 16:01:32 GMT 1, eschiff But isnt that the beauty of it. Here you have an artwork that is mainstream enough to be compared to IKEA. If you can get IKEA ppl to go over to real artwork, i would be happy. Its not a wow factor when you enter a room with a 2x3 meter big IKEA print for around £100 and who maybe 1 million others have. Artists in the start face or artists struggeling promoting their work should make deals with IKEA and do like 1xRUN or something simular.

They do not expect any lifeforms on this planet, but suddenly this butterfly lands on his helmet.. This very special moment in human history is reflected in his helmet: "Eternal Reflection"
I always saw it as a contrast between technology and Nature. we think we are so smart with our 3 stripe toothpaste, our Macs and our astronauts in space, yet the amazingly intricate nature of Nature outshines these man-made creations on every level. Thats why the astronaut is in B&W, yet the butterfly is done in colour...such is the gap between the two.
As you were lads...
