Anyone received theirs yet? Just got an email from their "LAMINATE Most Wanted Chronicles Vol.1"....would like the copy from 9 months ago first!!!!

.....still no Faile!

Its not just the Faile release, they have been fobbing me off too with the Handiedan prints. I will be amazed if they ever arrive.

Decided to stay away from these guys after the Hush print fiasco. After 6 months of ignored emails requesting a delivery update i then got a series of rude emails in return.

They made some excuse that they were moving offices. Surely they can't use this excuse anymore? This was a year ago!

Funny thing is something turned up from them the other week, a book of some kind. I had no memory of placing the order. Maybe it took so long to turn up i'd placed the order in a previous life.

If people have had enough of this saga with Laminate then you might want to consider Money Claim Online. I'm conscious that it sounds like some kind of fly-by-night, ambulance-chasing outfit but I can assure you it's nothing of the sort.  Money Claim Online is the government's (or technically HM Courts and Tribunals Service's) streamlined, online process for small-claims which traditionally used to go through the 'Small Claims Court'. It was set up with the intention that lay-people could make their own claims without needing to instruct a solicitor, so it should be relatively straightforward.  

There are relatively modest fees to be paid (probably £35 for this size of claim) and, as with the rest of the civil justice system in the UK, there are issues with enforcing a judgement in your favour but it might well we worth considering for those who have had enough and, if this is the case, who could blame you having read the whole of this thread!

Id be interested from snik how his experience panned out - didn't they make lots of promises to him about customer service etc - who bought one and what is your optimistic estimate for when it might arrive ?

and can someone please explain to me why there are 3 versions of the Chronicles (Faile , Hush or Keyes - each an edition of 100) @ £180 a pop and then the same thing again but with Eelus @ £100 (edition of 300)

I'm sure that when i threw my money in a bucket of s**te labelled 'Laminate Chronicles Volume 1 there were only ever going to be 100 - now there's gonna be 600!!

sorry all y'all are having so much trouble w this outfit. great thing about a forum like this is that perhaps you can organize your efforts and make some sort of group protest of sorts...perhaps small claims court, report them to local authority (in US it's better business bureau), molotov cocktail (i kid, big brother)?

End of the month and still no signed Faile box.....latest froom them is "art boxes arrive next week"!

I'm posting this everywhere that the Laminate Media name appears so apologies if you keep seeing it.

I've been having issues with Laminate for the best part of a year and should have know they were trouble when it took forever to get the signed Geddes & Josh Keyes magazines etc before this order.
I paid for 3 x Faile Special Editions back in early December 2012…….long story short after numerous delays and promises of shipping dates etc a package arrived yesterday over a year since my order.
Inside the package was 1x magazine in a badly printed unsigned Faile box….and that's it….I paid £141 all in for that.
So I kicked off (again) and I also emailed Geddes, Josh Keyes and Faile copying in Laminate so everything was transparent – I explained the situation and so far Geddes & JK have very kindly replied and without going into too much detail I'm sure both of them will not be working with Laminate again……we also know that there were issues with the Sandra Chevrier release. I have not heard from Faile yet.

Overnight I received a refund for £94 which covers 2 of my missing orders – I have asked for a refund of the remaining £47 + £10 to send the one I have received back to him in Hull.
As yet he hasn't refunded this amount.

Anybody thinking of ordering from this company needs to think twice – as do any artist thinking about working with him – they are going to be exploited for his financial gain.

I've posted on his FaceBook but he just deletes the comments……and yesterday he had to turn off the 'comments' part of his whole FaceBook as I bombarded him and he couldn't keep up!

For anybody else having issues I have his new postal address in Hull which I will forward – there was a mobile phone number but no surprise that it's unrecognised.
