They were print editions. Keep it real was done on really cheap small canvas' there were lots 100x. Mosquito was limited to 15. Kids on Guns same deal but to 25. Mediums, sizes and print techniques vary a lot throughout this first year list but all prints exist.
It gets lost in the plot but for the first year it was almost like collecting underground banksy comics but the variants got a little tricky/expensive just like they do for comic collectors today. Everything was done in multiples though I know the above is wrong -- no disrespect.
They weren't prints though - they were spray painted editioned canvasses

We're agreeing just perception has become different over the years. At the time a canvas was more of a pain in the ass because they made less and it was more expensive. It was a fancy print done in multiples not a canvas painting 1 of 1 at all.

POW Pictures on Walls, by Graham H on Feb 7, 2022 13:37:51 GMT 1, The info you have on the Mosquito being an edition of 15 is incorrect.
There were several versions of the image done on differing size canvases ( 30cm x 20cm , 30cm x 30cm for example ), with differing backgrounds ( Red Stars, Red Cross, Plain background but with blood drips etc ) and most were from editions of 25 - but in most ( if not all ) the artist didnt fulfil all the editions .. this has been noted on some COA's and not on others - so as far as im aware, a definitive confirming how many of each of the editions were completed has never been seen
There were also numerous one offs of differing sizes of the Mosquito on the red / white / blue Banksy perforated stamp background
Im all instances though, they were hand sprayed - and not printed.. so im not sure what your below comment means about them being the same thing.. a print is a print, and a hand sprayed canvas is a hand sprayed canvas ..irrespective of the cost or it being a pain in the ass as you put it

POW Pictures on Walls, by STP on Feb 7, 2022 14:11:03 GMT 1, I've deleted my original separate posts and compiled them here for easier reference.
When the POW website was first launched early in 2003, these were the prints available, all of which were priced at £40 unsigned (*£35) and £100 signed.
Banksy - Love Is In The Air Banksy - HRH Queen Victoria Banksy - Rude Copper* Banksy - Have A Nice Day* Banksy - Bomb Middle England*
Jamie Hewlett - The Kid Jamie Hewlett - Big Sponge Finger Jamie Hewlett - M16 Assault Lolly Jamie Hewlett - The Hick
Later that same year, the following Banksy prints were added:
Bomb Love Flying Copper Barcode Laugh Now Toxic Mary Weston Super Mare HMV Golf Sale Turf War Monkey Queen
Around the same time as the above were added, prints by the following artists were also made available to purchase online:
3D Mode 2 Faile Bast Pete Fowler Gee Vaucher Insëct
Additionally, during the course of the same year a small number of Banksy originals were made available, together with a larger number of editioned canvases.

If unfamiliar with the Wayback Machine internet archive, it takes screenshots of webpages as they updated over the years. Click on a date and wonder at what was on offer and how much was being asked.
What a buzz it was…If you were a part of it you know.

POW Pictures on Walls, by New Wave Dave on Feb 20, 2022 5:38:39 GMT 1, Has anyone created a comprehensive list with images and prices/editions of the POW offerings? Seems like there would be a heap of interest in something like that.

POW Pictures on Walls, by New Wave Dave on Feb 20, 2022 17:59:25 GMT 1, Hi all. Does anyone know if there is a full listing of all the Pictures on Walls releases? I'm thinking of making one as a project if none exists.
Thanks!

POW Pictures on Walls, by samo on Feb 20, 2022 18:29:50 GMT 1, Hi Dave. The only two databases that I'm aware of that cover the prints that POW have released,
can be found on artcollectorz and Expresso Beans:
I don't know if the listings are complete but that is probably a nice project to sort out on a rainy Sunday

POW Pictures on Walls, by New Wave Dave on Feb 20, 2022 23:46:14 GMT 1, Thanks, all, especially samo and geester for the links. Artcollectorz and Expressobeans do seem to have a lot of POW stuff but as mentioned, it's difficult to see how comprehensive it is as it's basically just a filter of what's been added to the database that's from POW. I'm sure it's close but I'm guessing a few of the smaller edition pieces are missing. Still think it might be a worthy endeavor!

POW Pictures on Walls, by pilot on Dec 9, 2023 20:06:38 GMT 1, i would like the print better in black and white. i don't think the few splashes of colour are the best choice. there's another version with a black background. i like that one a bit better, but even there i think the other colours are superfluous.

Thought it was a fan print Yes it was a fan print coming from X.. from Chicago (only 35 £ then or free) : I thought that I was friend (as I know mostly all that got one), but apparently, not. approved by POW. Too much expensive now ( with or without crisis), as it was a gift at the origin.
