Will - They why did you buy them? Think of all the Banksy/Micallef/Insect and other artist you did buy and made a lovely profit from - bet you they weren't so boring then!!!
you shouldnt have gotten the sack then, should you!!!!
POW is a much tighter run outfit, since you left - what they have done is leaps and bounds to the way it used to be run, when you were there. No more do you see backdoor prints!!! Payment process is fast and easy, the choice of art and the prices are second to none, their customer service is great, if you have a complaint/issue they deal with it promptly and efficiently, they ship prints out fast and securely, they put on great shows.
The bald businessman at POW - has been very instrumental in getting all these processes in place, so we the supposed "collectors", can appreciate, enjoy and buy affordable art from lots of great artists. He presided over SG Bethlehem, which raised over $1million for good causes in the region, and oh lets not forget Cans Festival, which was completely free!!!!
We all know who stef is but who are you Al and what have you to do with POW???
absolutely fuck all, other than he has spent money with lazarides for the last 18 months and kissed serious arse during that time also.

POW Pictures on Walls, by will on Nov 9, 2008 16:04:13 GMT 1, I'm sorry for insulting some people with this thread. I think it should be deleted and forgotton about.

original poster is some 17yr old lad annoyed theres no flippable prints on there right now. and wants to make some money, has got into big argument this though hasnt it. what was he even doing when micallef/banksy dolk was selling there? i doubt he was on there looking for prints
Exactly, i'm always uncomfortable with people expressing false familiarities after jumping on bandwagons, his 'for sale' collection pangs of failed flip attempts. I wasn't around when Banksy or Micallef were being sold on there so can't possibly speak rhetorically about it.

POW Pictures on Walls, by mammal2 on Nov 9, 2008 17:06:00 GMT 1, WOW what a terrible and selfish thread this is. Alsbabar, that was a very harsh statement about Steph. In my opinion POW was very, very well run and had a really fun vibe when Steph was in charge. Sure, sometimes things didn't work as they should do, but it could turn on a dime and really put out some quality work. POW this year for me, has seen very, very few releases that I would like on my walls. This is not to say the art has been poor, in fact much of it has been excellent. However, 2006 was a really great year for POW. The anticipation of a new Banksy was always good fun. Plus, the Ghetto on Oxford street was besides a few more initial teething problems very well run. The preview night will always be one I will remember. We now have Stella Dore, which can only be a great thing. I think its in bad taste to air peoples dirty washing on a public forum (i suspect thats why Steph deleted her post). POW is under new management, which is great. The so called 'bald' business man has always been a good bloke. p.s Mode 2 and Modern Toss are bloody legends. Mode 2's work is peerless and no ones work like Modern Toss makes me piss myself like them. Absolute gods, both of em.

POW Pictures on Walls, by Imoy-San on Nov 9, 2008 21:56:32 GMT 1, Alsbabar, I am quite surprised by the personal tone of your post.
Do you have a vested interest in airing these views, or is this a case of harboring some repressed angst towards Steph? Perhaps, not getting a print when she was in charge...
It is one thing being privy to such information, but airing it in an open forum? That is just cheap and nasty.

The people at POW actually have accounts on this board, I am sure they are capable of defending themselves. To be honest, I doubt there is any bad blood between Steph and the POW crew - as for management, that's a different story.
Your 'beef' is a bit more puzzling - do you have shares in the company or just too much time to rant about stuff that shouldn't concern you.

POW Pictures on Walls, by baileymontana on Nov 10, 2008 13:17:40 GMT 1, Have to say Vhils 'The Uknown Icon' has been my favourite print this year. It is quite a haunting image and the bleach idea seemed fresh (no pun intended). Seeing his piece at Cans was one of my art highlights this year. For that I like POW.

POW Pictures on Walls, by bullet on Dec 12, 2008 1:13:18 GMT 1, it was so good to see eelus back at POW this week and there has been talk about D*FACE and Walker going back as well.
I think this would be awesome to see, because the prints are simple and just cool.
I love all the specially printed BRP prints etc but sometimes back to basics works as well. Not long ago Eelus was at the point where he was drifting away now he is right back in the lights again. Im not saying Walker or D*FACE have exactly drifted, but it means they are producing prints which are not £300 with 17 colours but £150 with just 3 colours and simple ideas and back in the realms of DSTQ or Mona Simpson
Im not sure what the deal is with Nick Walker but im sure D*FACE would work with POW again.
I know they have not been missing long, but its the equivalent of Robbie joining up with take that again with some of these more higher profile street artists
What are peoples thoughts on this?

Daniel Silk • The forum now has over 20,000 less Threads! and the number of Boards is less than half what it was.
Daniel Silk • The Search feature on the forum hasn't been working since yesterday, but it's already been reported, so hopefully it will be working again later today.

rparducci • That's a good idea ,have you got any pictures of what exactly you meant? Was thinking of maybe ornate in red too? What are your thoughts
Daniel Silk • The number or Boards and Threads continues to fall as we simplify the layout of the forum.
Daniel Silk • I hear a lot of Artists complaining about Instagram in the past year, how it used to be a good tool for Artists, but it's not good anymore, is that true?
anyaart • For Brett Kern fans, I noticed there is a spinosaurus for sale on E-Bay. It's a limited edition, one of only 60 made. This is the rarest of his dinosaurs. I am not the seller. I already have the same dino purchased in 2016. I've never seen one up for sale
Daniel Silk • Apology • Sorry I have been offline this past few weeks, due to a very bad Fever. I'm slowly getting better, step by step, and catching up with things here on the forum on the days I'm well enough. Thank you for your understanding.
Boy Wonder • I read that they were more or less nicked the same day they went up. Loads of fakes exist.
milou2 • Would love to see any photos of Banksy's first exhibition at the Severnshed in Bristol (2000). Who was there?*
jirr • Hi all, over here in the states. Pandemic put me out of business, need to sell this asap. Please send offers thanks so much
matgab • Steven Harrington - Gotcha first ed for sale.
1nkling • I can't help but think that a more reasonable tier for people who just want to support the work you guys do would raise more income. Then other tiers for those that want specialist benefits.
