Mr baker painted the image directly onto the screen and then 1 print was pulled off it. So it's an original basically but painted onto the screen rather than the paper. Seems a long way round but it's just another technique and a fraction of the price of an original.
Very often more than 1 monoprint will be pulled off the screen but all will be slightly different rendering each one 'unique'....but it seems only 1 of each was pulled in this case.
