If you are happy with it, what does my opinion matter? As I said, Baker is a fine artist whose work I have on my wall as we speak. Only wish this particular edition was something a bit fresher. I retain hope another edition is forthcoming.

I know the internet is not the best at conveying mood, but I was just trying to have a friendly debate, part of the reason for joining this forum. Your point of view is valid and I respect it, I just have a different one. Ps. you'll need a thicker skin in here, it can get ugly real quick. |

All 57 look a bit meh...don't see a ton of effort in them, especially when compared to some of the better pink / gold half pint backgrounds
Not exciting enough to pre-buy, but will def pop over and see them

I agree with much of this (not the bit about buying one if I had the cash though). The half pint is a fabulous image (donโt own one). The juxtaposition between the human form and the panda head is what makes it so pleasing. Much like rabbits with targets. These look to me to be floating cuddly toy heads. I am usually a fan of his work. Fucker for example is wonderful (donโt own one), to name but one. Not so much a fan of these.

this pretty much nails it right on for me. i do like the ones with the pink/colored background but then the size of these are huge.

I have a Charming Baker 'Study for a Portrait of an unknown woman' for sale
Archival Inkjet with a 1 Colour Silkscreen and Varnish Overlay
Hand Finished with Acrylic on Somerset Satin Enhanced 330gsm Paper

limited edition of 80
ca 76cm x 94cm
never framed, stored flat
Now the catch:
It got damaged during a recent move. The bottom left corner has suffered most. There is also a dent on the bottom right side, just next to the number / stamp.
There are a few other scruffs but those are more difficult to see. The top part has not suffered, same for the motif which is pristine.
I marked the pictures, please have a look.
Wanted to take it to Graham Bignell but given my limited wall space and the pile of stuff which is yet to go up on the wall this is pretty unlikely to happen and I offer this at a nice discount if someone is interested. From what I remember those were 720GBP at release and sold out at 900gbp. Needless to say I look for much less than that. PM me to discuss.
