Charming Baker π¬π§ Paintings β’ Print Release β’ For Sale , by nipper on Jul 24, 2011 8:43:30 GMT 1, Much busier yesterday. I arrived to find a queue. There were about 105 prints done and all sold as far as I am aware. That may because of the image which I think is the best of the three so far and also that purchasing more than one was allowed. I see one is on eBay already...

No luck with the Saturday print for me unfortunately. I'll be acquiring one of those lovely show prints on Monday instead and hopefully popping down there before the show closes next week.

Charming Baker π¬π§ Paintings β’ Print Release β’ For Sale , by telsin on Jul 24, 2011 10:40:29 GMT 1, Popped along yesterday and it was very busy. Luckily managed to grab one although not every one in the queue were so lucky. Dario @ jealous said approx 120 prints were being screened today as per the two previous releases show prints. They sold 75 last week with the remainder being sold yesterday. The first weekend release was slighty different because only a small selection were sold to the public approx 35 as the majority were given to VIPs and family. They also confirmed the release of one further print next weekend. So hopefully all that missed out can grab one.

Charming Baker π¬π§ Paintings β’ Print Release β’ For Sale , by Winter on Jul 24, 2011 11:47:26 GMT 1, On payment they were giving edition numbers which were written on the receipts but didn't write on the actual print. Not seen that before. Amazing print for Β£75. I would guess next week will be very busy as it's the last opportunity

Could have been done for a number of reasons. Firstly, maybe they wanted to make sure they done enough prints for those who paid (although saying that some apparently went home empty handed). Secondly it could be done just as another way to identify someone's purchase if they lost their receipt.
I agree it is odd indeed.

Charming Baker π¬π§ Paintings β’ Print Release β’ For Sale , by Rsyok on Jul 24, 2011 21:29:39 GMT 1, i wanted a f**ker print, but for some reason the buy now button dissapeared, that also seems to have happened with all the "new" prints. Bit annoying, as I think the f**ker is a great piece. Not available online yet, they were never up to buy.

Charming Baker π¬π§ Paintings β’ Print Release β’ For Sale , by nipper on Jul 25, 2011 10:42:41 GMT 1, Some interesting interpretations on here in the numbering. Let me help clear that up. The numbers on the receipts were so Jealous knew how many they had sold. They sold 105. Charming took a few extra ad a few were held back due to errors/ marks and for the staff. It may well be that 120 were printed though. That is not the same number as was printed on each previous Saturday. The first weekend was 63 and the second weekend was not counted.
They are un-numbered editions. There was never any intention to number them as far as I am aware. As I say, numbers on receipts were there for Jealous to keep track of how many they had sold. You got to keep the receipt so if you wanted to call that the number I guess you could but it won't be in any way 'official' as a numbered edition.
This is all a bit of fun for Charming and Jealous and they really enjoy people coming in to the exhibition despite it being the third weekend in a row. This weekend clearly got more busy so was harder work for the Jealous team so some friends got co-opted in too.
I was there until about 4pm when the last print wad sold. I'm not aware anyone went away empty-handed unless people turned up after that time. It had slowed up considerably before I left.
If it helps, I was the guy putting the prints in the bags at the table Charming was signing at - and doing so very carefully!

Thanks for the info on numbers printed and thanks for the care taken to avoid damage to the prints. Said it before but I'll say it again that CB and the Jealous team deserve a pat on the back for looking after all sizes of pockets at this show.

The second week the printer allegedly cut out 104 pieces so it would be less then that. I think that the first week it was 63 for sale plus or so were 20 held back to be given as gifts etc.

Charming Baker π¬π§ Paintings β’ Print Release β’ For Sale , by nipper on Jul 25, 2011 20:12:08 GMT 1, Motor- definitely a total of 63 printed on the first weekend. I was there when they were counted after the print run was finished. There wasn't such a big demand that weekend so there were a fair few left afterwards. Charming did take some and Jealous had the rest but I suspect they have all gone now though.
