But it would be good to know what the last few of these have fetched so I don't offend or sell myself short when I make my offer.

You cant blame papa for wanting market value as the last person who sold a print at cost here got burnt and watched it get sold for a profit on ebay.

It's all about the Benjamins... The only art some people on here collect is the ones the bank of england print in not so limited runs.

Sorry Iamzero ... but that is a trueism. Sometimes a buyer/seller believe that they have bought/sold 'a bargain', sometimes not and vice versa, but at the end of the day both parties have to agree.
Now Mr paps (I can call you that, can't I?) I just need to shave a few hundred off that Dran ;D

My point isn't actually aimed at any one person but more as a way we all behave on the forum. In that we would all want big money for the prints we have yet when we find someone willing to let go one of these prints then it appears we expect them to part with it for sale at more close to an original cost price?
As I've said before, flipping and selling is a fine line and the question is where is that line drawn. I could argue that if the print has been bought and left in a portfolio to age for profit having never been framed and then sold... that is a flip no matter if the print was resold the day after release or 2, 6 or even 12 months down the line.
And even if that is the case who are we to judge as I'm sure if I'd had the chance to buy something and triple my money overnight then would I turn it down... the answer is no. (would I part with my Scream though... No also)
BUT in my case that is purely because I eventually would like to own ON MY WALLS at least one Banksy, a Panda Boy by Charming Baker and a Peter Blake print. But as the price of these are way out of what my wages can afford I figure that instead of slatting the people on here for making a profit I'm joining the leagues of buyers and sellers to fund the art I want to hang when I get the chance. Ashamed... no. Dissappointed... a little.
I know that there are people out there that want to share the art for a slim profit amongst forum members, the Mau Mau print was a shining example that I missed to hang in the red back bedroom, and my 'fair price ' comment on this thread was me explaining that I know of one Scary print at the framers right now bought from a forum member recently by my friend for a price a fair way from the asking price on this thread but still more than double original cost price. So Im thinking I'd like to pay the same for one? And I'm a huge Eine fan by the way.
No dig at anyone especially not Pappa who has mailed me and has taken things in the none offensive way they were meant... and I will mail you Papa once I've run things past my girlfriend who is in fear of my art getting out of hand.
