New Faile Paper Monster - Wed 30th Jan, by ncewnimw on Jan 30, 2013 23:07:23 GMT 1, Yup, sucks doesn't it - particularly when you know there is a % of people who are rubbing their hands at missing out with preference on something that might be more lucrative for them to flip!!
I collect mainly Faile and have done so for many years. I'm gutted I missed out on this since it would have made a nice addition to my collection. At the same time I'm glad that Faile and Papermonster are handling this the way they are since I probably would have tried to buy their next release anyway.

There's not many sites out there that have no troubles for major releases like this so I can't really blame Paper Monster, just unlucky this time I guess. Did think the image would put some people off, a la Fashion Chimps, but maybe the price compensated for that. Personally I love the image but can understand why other choices would have been more popular for some. Will be interesting to see how they do on eBay, hope there's a few flippers with burnt fingers but doubt it!

I guess it depends on how the prize is awarded or delivered. Some pre-sales are probably going to fall through once the prints are delivered to the flippers.

Josh Keyes' latest print realease was still warm from selling out and there were 10% of the run onb ebay in an instant, the same with this and even Kraftwerk tickets. The email system that faile had worked freally well, just a button press and then they sort it. No auto check out or instant buying with 15 PayPal accounts. Just seems a fair method. but I will be honest, as a collector, if I want a print I find it quite sad that I am looking to find out about this software, or everything I buy, will have to come off of ebay.

No worries, I'm totally on your side. I would've liked on of these but it all went horribly wrong at checkout...I'm convinced that half the edition (of anything) is bought up by people with bots....
On the plus side, I'm pleased to see that a few forum members have managed to get one and I reckon these will look great framed up.

Thou, nothing to worry about as they pack their prints good and devalue the print which is great from a customs fee perspective.

This was from an email I received from one of the Patrick's earlier this month....
We will do a print of some of these images. The les Ballets de Faile image will be the first print. Probably sometime in March.
