Unique Neate collection, by lesbianwednesdays on Oct 30, 2007 22:11:53 GMT 1, you've got two choices: sell to a gallery where they will only look to make money off your back, or split them and sell to the highest bidder .
instead of aiming your pitch at one niche buyer i would guess you stand a better shout selling them one by one. or pairs, or whatever. good luck, a few nice bits there chappie.

Unique Neate collection, by manty on Oct 30, 2007 23:33:01 GMT 1, Neates prints should only be kept in tubes, never frame them because they will lose a certain amount of their value, and its harder to post them when you want to sell

This is how currency started. It won't be long till an online gallery sells you an art note that is worth a specific piece of art that never goes anywhere but stays in a vault unless you ask to swap. Then people just trade the note. All very wrong of course but it would make more sense than these tubes flying up and down the country never getting opened.
Madness huh.

You may wish to introduce yourself make yourself feel at home.
After all you joined sometime ago ... have been in a few times I'd bet.
You can at least give us a little more info.
As for the content - i do believe you may have problems - if you check through what's been happening lately - shifting a full set. Some residents have resources here - but possibly not the resources to shift A FULL ADAM NEATE collection of nine prints all of the same number.
.... Raises more questions than answers.
We await more messages from you.
That is if you actually want to participate here.

Unique Neate collection, by rhysieboy on Oct 31, 2007 14:46:03 GMT 1, While I read the forums I'm not much of a writer - have an opportunity to get my hands on an original so need to free up some funds.
Don't have the resouces to keep them all.
Would love for the set to to stay together (and easier for me!)
Won't put them on ebay as I hate it. Someone suggested a gallery might be the best way to keep them together - but suspect they might then split them.

I fear that they feel they are trapped in a tube of despair. Make the prints and the people happy. It's a match made in heaven. Forget the matching numbers thing, who cares?
Let them go carefree, cartwheeling their joyous way onto the walls of suburbia where they can live forever, loved and appreciated as one of the family.

keep it as a set, and take it to an auction house. try to get in on that sothebys auction. what you have is quite rare. make tons of money. give me 2%.

Unique Neate collection, by RBK on Oct 31, 2007 16:32:30 GMT 1, I doubt Sotheby's would include them in the December auction. They are tested the waters with introducing an original by Adam Neate - no need to diminish that with prints. I'd contact them after this auction.
PS... What original did you score??

In a way. I think it'll be a kick and people will start to actively (well more actively) search his work out. More people will realise no more prints and they'll begin to hit permanent collections leading to the obvious price rises.
That said I think the trebling in price will be led by the self portraits probably tripling or more rather than a uniform increase. I also think people will begin to appreciate the triptych with chair much more too

Tripling on portraits I believe will happen. They, as has been said before, are the CWSB and Kates fpr Neate. I'd also agree on Triptych. It's so unusual in size, very limited and a strong image... Wish I had one
