However nowhere near Run Dmc with The Beastie Boys in 1987 at Manchester Apollo first concert I went to and still by far the best.

Do you mean current bands & artists or are some older school sounds of interest as well ?
You could end up with a VERY long list based on how many musicians err on the subversive side of life
Sean made a great reference on here earlier today with the latest Jello Biafra & the Guantanamo School of Medecine album called White People & the Damage Done. Love that album and basically if something's got Jello vocals on it, then it's alright in my book!
Jello vocals are about as subversive as it gets, so any Dead Kennedys album for sure + most of the other bands he's been with over the years
Try a load of anarcho punk band albums and you'll find plenty of subversion!! Conflict, Icons of Filth, Crass, Subhumans (uk not the canadian ones, though they're ok too). These are just a few names of bands you should easily be able to find but there's loads more
Jello Biafra does a load of spoken word albums too. Not my cup of tea really, not into spoken word business, but he's fascinating to listen to and his tonal voice changes are hilarious when he's doing character changes. Spends his life being vocally subversive
I could give you another 100+ recommendations but the rest of the forumites can probably give you a few pointers as well
