I never had the opportunity to meet my Grandfather, Rufus Blevins, or my Grandmother, Edna. They passed away in the same month long before I was born. But what I do know of Rufus, is that he was a bee keeper and a backstreet boxer. Edna, had a garden pollinated by his bees, which they both made a living on with honey and fruits. The only thing I have of his memory is this bolo, that he wore all the time. I keep it close to my heart, in constant wonder of what that life was like.
