He's producing some fantastic pieces of late and seems to be a lot more consistent and original too, it's like he's finally found a style he's happy with. I've really liked his recent output, especially all the stunning canvases he's painted.

Bit "Dolk" isn't it ? I feel I've seen Tags over classical paintings/sculture/people, too many times over the last year !
I think the same from what I've seen. Can't judge the show on 3 pics but I think it's a little too close to "Toy" IMO.

I hear what you're saying regarding Tags and Stencils. Personally, ever since seeing Banksy's Policemen wrestling the Seen Tag I've always loved the conflict between the two and thought it was sound unexplored territory. Tag v's Classical Architecture.. Athens..Graffiti V's Street Art..Art V's Vandalism, the list goes on. Pøbel did a terrific piece back in 07 with Atle Østrem.. and again for the "Lowlife" show. I really like the aesthetic, makes me think. Which to be honest, is more than a lot of work does.

I also think the 3k price is worth it, just outta my range.
I'm still praying that we get to see Son Of Man in print form one day.
Already have a spot for it on my wall!

Like the image and can't see getting too hurt on a 120cm+ 3 piece edition canvas (no plans to off it anyway). It's funny but when these opportunities pop up it reminds me of the countless archive board threads like with people debating weather to grab a OG Dolk Grenade or Teddy canvas.

I emailed with Martin a couple years back and seemed like a nice guy... debated over a few larger originals for maybe $200-300 and in the end didn't buy anything. Looking back now... no regrets at all... even if they were worth as much as my Dolk GWT canvas

I just wish Martin would have his own artistic style. Much of his work to me is specifically derived off of others and not better by any means. Dolk, Boxi etc. Logan Hicks gave quite a nice narrative on Martin's work a while ago - well not really a narrative... more like reamed him a new one for blatantly copying his work after Martin asked him for some advice. I emailed with Martin a couple years back and seemed like a nice guy... debated over a few larger originals for maybe $200-300 and in the end didn't buy anything. Looking back now... no regrets at all... even if they were worth as much as my Dolk GWT canvas |

I took it as " the market dictates the price" and if something is "overpriced" it doesn't sell. But I think "overpriced" is very subjective in a way too. I see something like the MBW spray cans as "over priced" but they sold out  Go figure.
