Dface New world Disorder show @ stolenspace 07/06/13, by Deleted on Jun 9, 2013 23:32:57 GMT 1, I went to back to see the show with fresh eyes on Sat (prior to the Stone Roses gig) and was suitably impressed with the quality and execution of what is a broad variety of work in a range of media... much of which was lost on me as I was in a very negative mood at the opening!
I must admit that I didn't think the larger more expensive canvases were going to sell that quickly, but around 85-90% of work has/had sold.
Well played to Stolenspace and D*face, the buyers were clearly in!

Old stuff was the best in my opinion. The Pop Tarts, that totally brilliant unfinished union flag and queen (nice pic of that dappy) and the smaller grey queen next door were very nice. Those HPM's were a bit tasty too.

I've seen 2 D*Face prints, they are so crisp! Even with the texture from the ink, his prints have rather sharp clean lines. I had No More Heroes, it's one of the few prints I regret letting go. I recall the purple ink used for his hair was vibrant, dark, and looked amazing!
So I can't imagine what his OGs look like!!
A few of my favorite images are pieces from the block sculpture you posted, Dappy.
The 2 hands shaking with the orange background, the weathered DDOG, the flying cork DDOG, and the HOT DOG boom on the top.
I'd love one of the Coke Riot pieces on wood!
I'm happy to say that I snagged one of the Sweet Nothings prints from the SS online release. I'm very excited to see it in person!
By chance, if anyone would like to trade their B&W New World Disorder crest print that were given on the preview night, I would love to work out a deal. I have signed CBaker EMG show print. Signed Miss Bugs unfolded Don't Panic print. ......and much more.
