Got to wonder when artists do this if they actually fear the critiquing in advance and would prefer buyers to make an impulse buy. Bearing in mind the prints will probably be a few hundred quid, I'd quite like a look of more than ten seconds at the point of purchase before buying.

Personally i feel that the work quality is decreasing but the artists are putting their prices up. Maybe we have just seen it all before here and are hard to please.
It will not be long before dface is moving over to the states like eine to squeeze more out of new untapped customers.
then when that runs out, bleeding dry china.

If the artists recognized by this forum have their prices going up it just means they are connecting to a larger audience and becoming more established, which is the whole idea whether in art, music or most creative fields. Members here are just early adopters, which is a good thing.

D*Face has already made it to the States, with I believe 3 large building sides getting quite a bit of notice in the past year during the art fairs. There are a number of us States-siders that already have purchased his work. My point is many in the art world have made the same comments about Roy that are being made here about D*Face. Which in and of itself puts him in a club many would enjoy being admitted to. |

I remember bidding for one at Dreweatts years back, also went to see the one at SS that was for sale on behalf of a client of theirs, also remember the Kant Complain at Leonard st Gallery dont i James???. There may be an influx of D*Face originals and one off prints coming to eBay very soon via photoxtc...
