I really enjoyed my first visit to a show for a few months. Free signed prints, rum and beer, whats not to love? The stock used for the prints is nice and heavy. I came away thinking how generous D*Face was to give away most of his evening signing prints, rather than trying to work the room selling art to the serious buyers in the room.
It was interesting to explore the studios and to see some of the older works. With regards to the art, everyone seems to be focusing on the Lichtenstein canvases, but for me the helmets where the best of the show. In fact it feels like I went to two shows. As mentioned earlier, the Lichtenstein bits were very well executed and I found myself falling for more and more pieces as the night went on (maybe that was the rum). Best for me was Big Boom and Dead to Her, I would love a print of the later.
I'm off to ebay to get me a helmet to spray up, then a trip down the rifle range.

Tried to get coins for peeps but they had run out, shame as I had a few +1's and so I should've been given theirs but too late!
Was a great show and was lucky to grab both prints and coins and get a pile of signed goodies! D* was a true gent as always!
Will post pics over the weekend, but definately worth a visit if you haven't already been!
T'was a great night and good to catch up with boardies and meet new ones!
