I'd have to concur that float mounting does suit though so might have to re-visit my decision...thanks.

Good news is, the print will look good either way and if you really want it white, it is super easy to take the artwork out and give the frame a few coats of paint. |

Faile New Print - Les Ballets De Faile, by randomname on Jun 29, 2013 18:06:13 GMT 1, I found this forum just in time. I was lucky enough to get one of these prints. My frame shop does a 20% off sale twice a year, so I've been waiting for that to get it framed.
I originally went with a black frame with a subtle pattern that sort of mimicked the "Les Ballets de Faile" text on the print. I was going to float it over a light blue mat. It had a little "mud" in the color, matching one of the blues in the print almost exactly. I think it would have looked good. But after seeing the white on white frames, I liked how you didn't notice the frame and just look at the art.
So I called the next morning and was just barely able to cancel my original frame. I think I'll be a lot happier going with this look.
By the way, I got the last print in the series. 500/500. I've heard in the past that the first and final numbers are more desirable. I would definitely rather have 1/500. Curious if people agree that 500/500 is better than some random number. Personally, I don't think it matters much with Faile since they number them on the back.
