I feel like they missed it on a bunch of great oportunities in the past 1-2 years. This one is absolutely solid. It would take a lot more than some sort of artistic ability. While I agree it would be nice to sell $250k in product in a day, don't overlook the years of work it took them to get where they are. Making prints this big is literally back breaking work, but it would all be worthless/unsellable if its by a random new artist without the cred that Faile has. How many artists do you know that can sell out a run of 500 for $500 in minutes? Its not as easy as just having some artistic ability. Thats for sure. Its a shame this kind of attitude toward artists still exists - I mean, come on, being a successful artist is extremely hard work, and takes dedication and mass amounts of late nights in studios finishing things off - look at the amount of amazing artists with "artistic abilities" that come out of art school and NEVER make it, essentially: the majority!!

I spend £1000s on art, if that was my view on artists I don't understand why you'd think I would do this or pay attention to art at all. I am sorry you take everything you read in the most literal context. |

If not all prints are purchased by the first group in the edition size, a second round of emails will go out until all orders in the edition size are finalized. This will be limited to one print per person.
-This means that you could receive an email invoice 12, 24, 36 hours etc. after the initial process begins. So please be patient. They will inform everyone who submitted an email address once the edition is completely Sold Out".
I copied this from another site. All seems pretty straight forward. hope it all works out for people

Living in Brooklyn I can say the coverage of Faile and the NYCB was not by those that tend to give free rides, such as NY Times, W, Wooster Collective, Juxtapoz and too many more to mention.

What I have a problem with is when people make personal attacks on other people and try to belittle them for liking something. I didn't go for this print as it doesn't interest me but I see no point at all in telling people that they only like it because they're 'following the crowd' or basically telling them that they only like something because the artist has become popular which I've noticed DD does in most of his posts.
I see some stuff in the 'Show us your latest Art buy' thread that I don't like or sometimes just don't get the appeal but what would I have to gain by telling anyone this? I love Dolk but I know that some people don't so yes it's great to have different tastes in art but it's pointless to criticise someone's taste for the hell of it.
