Eelus • After The Rain Print, by swamped on Jun 28, 2013 22:18:15 GMT 1, Enough with all the flippers are from u.s, that's garbage. That's like saying all Banksy flippers are from u.k, and all Dolk are from Norway, there are flippers all across this planet! I live on west coast and I couldn't get one this morning, even with all my fast connections and what not.. If you want to make everyone happy then you put out a 24hr time release so everyone who loves it can get one then set the edition size like Josh Keyes,Audrey Kawasaki ect... flippers can still sell there prints down the road, but it will be for far less money and that will take at least half of them out of the game...to much work and time to hold their interest..if you really love the print and want it in your home the edition size shouldn't matter as long as you have yours, unless you are really doing it to make a buck in the end..just a thought.

I know several art collectors who would not spend $10 on art works like these, but they would spend thousands on a Rockwell for god sakes, it all about what you are into not where your computer is located. I do wish I would have got one, but I don't care that others are selling theirs, again a time release puts an end to most of the debate..

Can the artist renege on this just because he's chosen to release his work under value? I'm not supporting flippers but if you give someone with a decent bit of code an opportunity to make £££ for doing nothing then they're going to take it right? (or wrong). Tend to agree.Bit much moving the goalposts after the sale

Yes your right about the divorce but it takes two to tango and Squire didn't have to reform but I like to think they both did it for the fans especially Squire who is undoubtedly a hugely talented guitarist.

Firstly, when The People spoke he changed the sale from a two prints per person, to one, accepting he'd got it wrong, in order to make the print more accessible.
Before the sale he posted on both FB and Twitter that the Big Cartel System was somewhat problematic and went out of his way to inform the potential buyers how the thing actually worked.
Post sale he apologised to buyers who had had difficulties with purchasing, saying he would be querying Big Cartel as to what may have gone wrong. Then, when he saw how many were insta-flipped on EBay he voiced his distain and began refunding those he deduced were guilty.
This is not inside info. Its public knowledge.
For the record, no, I never managed to land one, but was grateful for the artists inputs in helping me to, hence this post.

I agree eelus did all he could, but still leaves a bad taste in my mouth to see so many on ebay from American buyers, and over on EB, how come it seems the majority the prints are heading overthere, with the exception exception of a few lucky UK buyers! Its the same with any big releases, Dolk,Keyes,Geddes,Walker,Invader, no matter where or when a release happens most of the prints end up the other side of the pond, they must all have seriously fast fingers over there!!

Only so much the guy can do and to be honest these are the elements that go hand in hand with limited edition anything. With a name as popular as Eelus and only 175 satisfied hands there will always be thousands a little unhappy. Statistically it's rare a popular print is ever had a cost but when you look back at almost every print in high demand now, most would happily pay double or more. Bottom line is if you really want it, try and subtract the time out of the equation and grab one on the bay or a member here, just as you would do for a sold out concert.

Eelus • After The Rain Print, by FЯ on Jun 29, 2013 8:27:53 GMT 1, Like someone said before (and knowing a bit about servers it is largely true) the cart eelus uses is based in the USA. This goes for the majority of sites. It is not the artists fault, however due to the internet needing to refresh itself here, there could be a 3-10 second delay (sometimes more) on our pages refreshing. By that time you would need to come down to luck if you grabbed one.
There is nothing much you can do about this as the Uk is so bluddy slow at catching up with technology. It shocks me the amount of people who cannot even work a computer still. If you go to south korea, even pensioners are facebooking on their iphones.
This is the reason why you see alot of US sales for and will continue to do so. Luckily the expresso beans crowd are an impatient lot, so you can often pick one up off ebay instantly for just a few quid more. The hype over there drives it. Never quite understood the poster collectors over there, just plain strange. The eelus prints sold early have still all gone for bargains imo so you can still pick one up for a good price. (No i don't own one)

Yes I agree I think for so someone to say 'he doesn't give 2 f****s' is a stupid comment. What more can he do? There will always be flippers and no matter what the artist tries to do to stop them they'll always be there.
I think Eelus has done what he can so actually I think that he does give '2 f***s' about it.

2 per person, he was asking for trouble! Who needs two prints of exactly the same thing on their wall?

Eelus • After The Rain Print, by Deleted on Jun 29, 2013 8:48:26 GMT 1, Eelus is one hell of a great guy and be assured he cares more than most. 2 per person, he was asking for trouble! Who needs two prints of exactly the same thing on their wall?
It was 1 per person - he changed it to that before the drop and sent our an email to tell us.

Eelus • After The Rain Print, by dono on Jun 29, 2013 8:57:16 GMT 1, I think thats a bit unfair mate. +1
