Yep you're right. The way he used rats in his street art was so innovative and original that I'm sure Blek Le Rat didn't mind that it was actually his idea years before.

That said and of course IMO only it's happened before with the likes of Nick Walker. That's not to say that this sudden DOLK surge will not have longevity. I much prefer the slow steady growth of artists such as Invader, Dran and Blu of which I do not own any works by the way.
I still believe that in modern day terms the innovators and front runners are Banksy, Shepard Fairey, OS Gemeos, KAWS and Barry McGee.
Of course this genre has far greater achievements at its origins with people like Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
I will start off by saying that I am a big DOLK fan and will continue to be so I imagine.

It was not my intention to offend anyone or exasperate the threads. Dolk is a great artist, I own some of His prints, he is in my personal top six artists: Banksy> Dran> Blu> Dolk> Invader> Vhils. his value will certainly Increase over the years because he has talent, not because he makes the races with Banksy. Banksy is already in history. In a few years his art will be studied in art schools. It is somewhat inappropriate do these competitions between Banksy and Dolk or between any other street artist and Banksy in my opinion.

Buy prints that you love (not because of how much money you might make) Otherwise understand you are taking a big gamble.

Reality is, if someone likes an artists work they are (a) more likely to bang on about that artist, and (b) more likely to own something by that artist. Are they hyping the artist - No!
So those that love Dolk - go for it. Enjoy.
It's the talk of prices increasing, get in quick whilst you can still afford, etc that is more uncomfortable for me - that potentially could be hyping an artists work, and in the long run does the artist no good.
As for talk of which artist is better - well that's just silly talk - it's all completley subjective (it's Banksy btw!).Talk of contribution, influence etc is fair enough - it's part of the history of street art.
Fwiw, I like Dolk's older prints, and I really like his street pieces. So I ain't knocking no one.

Not quite right, well for me anyway. I do not like Morons, and would not buy it/hang it. (I see the humour in the message, I just do not find it visually pleasing). There are one or two others that I am not hugely fond of.
