Was fascinating to see the translation from originals to editions, but for me 'Hug' from the last releases would be my preferred choice. The lenticular self-portrait of Adam was nice and I quite liked the nude but I overall felt they were a little too one dimensional, or in some cases hard to view. For example the blue portrait was so lenticular it viewed as a blur and was almost like viewing the original with someones else's spectacles. It was almost as if the technology and technique wasn't advanced enough to do the originals justice in some cases. Don't know if that sounds right, but hopefully you get my point.

Strange how different eyes see different things (which is a good thing). For me, the Triptych lenticular didn't work as well as the blue and orange, which i thought worked very well. I wonder what causes the differences? Height? Visual processing in the cortex? Colours? The prevailing light?

people often criticize the Elms relationship but it obviously does allow him that additional time to develop these amazing shows that show big movements and progress since the last one. I know this is the first editions show but from a couple of pieces last year to this body of work is quite extraordinary. He has also produced new works for four Asian exhibitions in that time

Yes will be really interesting what happens next. His work from last October def moved on when I saw him in Sing. Since then he has produced all this which is a serious amount of work. Have to agree art should never be judged like this but in this case I also think they are priced well. Take of the vat, the john jones framing, the materials and time spent on them by many people and compare that to other artists work. When you see them up close the quality speaks or itself, 10 years from now I should have bough a ......?

Think the lenticulars were not far away from this price last time and sold.

As long as a gallery prices their art "high", those who want to buy would be doing so for the right reasons, be it ยฃ3-4k or ยฃ3-4 millions, but when does "high" become too high (i.e. greed)?
