I haven't checked with any of my other neighbors as the boys downstairs from me usually take them in, but I will do. I was told by PE that the prints should have arrived by now. I thought I was lucky and given a second chance to get the colours I really wanted. I doubt they will show now, the first two in pink arrived real fast, happy to have them but still pissed that someone has the silver ones or they're simply lost in the vaults of Royal Mail. It actually burns me! I guess I'll never know what happened to my silver pair but I'm still fingers crossed.

What concerns me too is this trend not to insure and also not to put the correct value on art work when sending from abroad/usa normally when charging major shipping costs. I recently was told that as a gallery they don't put the full value of the art work on customs form because customers ask them not to so as to save being charged by customs at this end.
I know I will get hit by customs but I expect it these days, i don't want to risk a grand because someone thinks it's better to lower the cost of the art work to save on 80 quid charge with the pretence that it's for my benefit - I'd prefer to pay extra and get my art work safe and sound. I'm in a mood tonight, sorry for the rant in the wrong thread too.

charley at pure evil will do you the drips . He sprays masking tape to the same colour and gives you the two coloured bits of vinyl that you cut to shape yourself.. I got my print from his gallery so he sorted it out . You might have to ring him and see if he will do it for you

Same here just got a refund from Charlie, gutted no prints but hey. On a positive note anyone needing drips Charlie will send details on how to make them yourself.

I did ask about AP's, no response from Wednesdays email for AP's or refund as yet.
I wonder how many prints go astray? Surely that's money down the drain for any artist, tracking is more expensive I guess if you're sending out hundreds of prints.

If the artist were to eat the cost of tracking, it might be significant. But if he were to add it to the buyer's shipping cost, that's probably not very much per print.
I really don't understand why anyone wouldn't use tracking. If it gets lost during shipping, the artist can file a claim and get the money to issue a refund. If it reaches the destination and someone steals it, the artist is off the hook. His responsibility is only to get it to your door. Either way, the artist is covered.
Personally, I have everything delivered to my work. That way someone is always there to sign for it.

Can't pretend I didn't think it was odd that a few people mentioned that the same thing happened to them. Maybe some prints weren't sent because there were too many orders so not all could be filled. Hmmm That's what's been on my mind. What ho, I have my money refunded now. Life eh! It's all about the hype!
