tattoos, by Coach on Sept 11, 2013 22:58:31 GMT 1, oh sorry just answered someone elses question, are you going for a tatt coach?
I have been very tempted for many years. But I know that I am a complete wimp when it comes to pain. And I worry about asking the artist to stop after a minute, leaving an odd little tattoo line! Maybe getting horribly sloshed is the answer!

Maybe getting horribly sloshed is the answer! i was scared for years, but i just bit the bullet and went. You wont regret it if you get one on a fleshy bit to start with. i got on my shoulder and it didnt hurt. i went there dripping with buckets of sweat but honestly after 5 mins it just feels like a biro scratching your arm. I was too embarrassed to ask about the numbing cream(was 4 grown men there)

Just pass out Coach...!
I spend too much time in Japan and sadly attitudes toward tattoos are slow to change there.
I know how they are generally viewed there and I've witnessed the negative reaction numerous times, and just know it'd impact on my lifestyle too much!
I dread to think of what I may have had done by now if I were allowed them!?
Those Cloony-esque inspired Tribal Tattoos looked cool once... not now.

Is that just because tattoos are associated with the yakuza?

tattoos, by t3c on Sept 12, 2013 12:13:36 GMT 1, Yeah the final panel right on the edge of my armpit wasn't the funnest thing i've ever had happen to me, especially when he went over the blackwork again after having already been over it once..
Hubble Bubble, good call but it wasn't Carl, it was a guy called Adam Lewis, lovely chap who works out of Shall Adore on Kingsland Rd
Here's a pic of my inner arm, the text reads (albeit backwards) du&jag which is swedish for You & Me. The robot is a tribute to a fallen comrade, that was done in Thailand with Bamboo, amazing how the guy got so much detail manually on that

tattoos, by Jeezuz Jones Snr on Sept 12, 2013 12:36:51 GMT 1, There was a woman on the train last week she was quite large an had the Pamela Anderson barb wire tattoo on her huge flabby arms. Looked terrible...don't get me wrong she may have been hot and skinny in 1992, but I reckon there's going to be a lot of money made in the next few years being a tattoo removalist, lot of people going to regret having these sleeves.

Ha looking good wizz , and id say no it doesnt hurt. The best way i can describe it is , if you keep pinching yourself fairly lightly in the same area over and over again, i think it feels just like this , but after a little while your arm goes a bit numb anyways.

I have a rule. No hands. No neck/face. I think for guys it's easier to keep arms in check so to speak but yeah i hear ya, a tramp stamp on a nubile 20 year old is going to look baaaaaad in her 40's/50's. Lots of girls are getting these huge chest plates done which look unbelievably hot but yeah you got to think of the future and all that and how well the tattoo will age in 15, 20 years time

Looked terrible...don't get me wrong she may have been hot and skinny in 1992, but I reckon there's going to be a lot of money made in the next few years being a tattoo removalist, lot of people going to regret having these sleeves. Well that kind of depends how you view growing old and also older women with tattoos who don’t fit your ideal of what a woman should look like to warrant still wearing her tats after the age of 25! I don’t often comment on stuff like this online because there are loads of people who think just like you and that’s just fine. I’m not one of the politically correct brigade either, but I’m interested in why because of her age and physical appearance she would need to consider removal.
Some similar comments were doing the rounds on Tumblr a while back about aging women and tattoos. I grew up in a time that was pretty militant, when people had passion enough to be different and be heard not just follow the crowd and do things because it was mainstream and acceptable.
I’m not quite sure now that I am an old bird, I would suddenly shrink into a corner and think it was necessary to have all my tattoos removed to suit the onlookers who disapprove and think I shouldn’t be covered in them.
I like that people are different, even more so when I see older folk who are different it warms me ole cockles. I don't need a twinset and pearls to fit in, I like my sleeves and other markings and they're not coming off for anyone just because I'm an old bird.
I think they look amazing, beautiful and I can't see why others wouldn't see that too. www.tumblr.com/tagged/old-people-with-tattoos
