I was thinkin he does it as it kinda defeats the object. He seems like the kinda guy that would. In my opinion of him over the last 9 years he seems like a very sound guy. . . If he had a team signing then I'm sure they could get 10,000 out in a few weeks. I said about 12 months as I thought it would just be banksy signing them as he's the artist.

On a more serious note I spoke to a UK artist this morning that confirmed an LA show with confidence. So much so that he already has plans to fly out for it.

The works in shows will ALWAYS be for sale, it's what artists do and how they make there money, the average joe can't afford to drop ยฃ50/ยฃ100,000 on an original canvas.
Lots of people lay claim to this, alleged, PDF which, to be honest has yet, or even a snippet of it, to make an appearance. It seems plain to me that people are making claim to it so that they can make out that they have some insider knowledge, which, I'm afraid I'm openly calling bull$shit on. Even if they couldn't show any pictures from it then why not at least give a description of some of the pieces?! That way, when the pictures ARE finally released then we know if they're lying or not?! Quite simple really!
Now please don't think I'm outright calling anybody a liar, I'm just VERY doubtful at this moment in time! The people and major buyers/collectors I know of have spent THOUSANDS on Banksy original work before and NONE of them have yet received any invite, word, information on any shows, prints or PDF as of right now.
Think it's safe to say after 11 pages all you really know is that Banksy has put a new work up and that an announcement will be made in due course of time/October. I know that the flippers are getting moist in the gusset about prints but please, chill out!

exactly. The secondary market would be killed which is awesome! As the prints should go to real fans not people who will keep In a portfolio until its worth serious cash. Even if it was 200,000 then let the process take 2 or 3 years. I'd wait knowin I got my signed print coming and it would be treasured on my wall forever. If someone wants a poster than buy a poster. I'm talking about people who want a signed screen print. True fans should have the chance rather than people wanting to make a quick buck.

i usually get 70 or 80 when they drop. pays for a holiday and a year off work
Its all to do with my awesome 1.5mb download speed and my trained standby robots that press the buttons at the right time

It just annoys me as there are so many genuine fans out there that would really LOVE a print, not for monetary value but because they hold Banksy dear to them, same way people want an autograph from film or popstars, it's something that they will treasure forever! Instead the parasites have taken over this scene, I can honestly say that HALF of ALL Banksy prints that have ever been made are sat in a folder, under a bed or whatever instead of up on a wall being appreciated like they should be.
But then again, when there's money to be made then this ALWAYS seems to happen.
