Absolutely a set up in my opinion.
In todays media saturated world no chance that one of them wouldn't come forward and do the rounds on the breakfast shows etc etc.
Not one has come forward - not one has put one up for sale.

I've been working overtime on some of my own stuff, and even putting in 3-4 hours a day for the past week, i've managed to cut and spray 3 3-layer stencils and I'm not going to pretend I can get the amount of detail into mine that B gets in his.
FYI - There are a number of missing stencils in that lot based on pics of the actual Banksy stall. There are also a couple that weren't at the stall.
Given the timing, I wouldn't be surprised if it took this long to cut and spray all those stencils. Not sure if you live in the USA Wiz - I'm a Brit over here - and let me tell you people here are obsessed by getting on TV. Not a chance the the guy from Chicago or one of the others have not told someone and the media haven't found them.
The Kiwi I can kind of understand but even then as soon as she got home and showed it to someone it would get out.
So they either walked away from the stall and were grabbed by someone - told to wait or the canvas would never be verified etc - or it was all a set up.
Either way a good stunt but I just don't buy that no one has come forward 3 weeks later - unless they have been told not to for some other reason......

Nice touch getting a dodgy replica cone in the pic too though. Shame the paintwork and base aren't the same, but hey, 10/10 for effort.
