He/she's been to a few of the other BOTI sites with it so if I was in NY I'd keep an eye out for someone with a suitably sized bag at the next piece - he might get careless!

Agreed, although the effect is on the type only. Unless it's a waxy crayon on a dry flaky surface that's leached out somehow.
