For what's its worth a do feel a complete arse about it, totally wrong and something i've never done before. If I may though, i've had a list of items for sale recently, most of which I have now sold and the items will be winging there way to their happy new owners within the next day or so. The reason for selling the items in the first place was to free up some cash in order to purchase a new screen print called 'Ice' by Sir Howard Hodgkin via Counter Editions. What I realised this afternoon is that I had actually secured sufficient funding to afford the purchase and in fact didn't need to sell the Dot Dot Dot. I subsequently refunded the money back to gunny and the PM explanation as posted above. It absolutely wasn't driven by greed, screen print going up in value or anything like that. I did originally list it as being for sale as a last resort option. I genuinely really like and wanted to keep it but unfortunately in order to buy other art I have to move much loved artworks on. I have offered gunny my VNA 23 LE for free as recompense and that offer still stands. I'll go on record here and say a very sincere apologies to gunny, I have been a complete pillock and in future I will give very, very careful consideration before advertising on here. Along with my new acquisition I intend to get the Dot Dot Dot framed in the new year.

I just don't know how you've stayed so strong over the years. Maybe very very careful consideration would be better applied to your decision making process pre buy, then all this tragic heart ache could be avoided, then again it is fucking handy that the value shot up over night. Every cloud has a silver lining eh?

As for Ruggs, if you read the DDD Napoleon release thread, he was all about the print even before it was released.
He backed out of a sale for something he discovered he didn't need to sell. No big deal.

It's seems that some people need a 101 on how to negotiate. If I started with the price I actually wanted I may end up with lower than that. |

Well, someone snapped up the last one available. Seems like a wise choice to me compared to the print, that is if you have the funds of course.
I bought the Blue Napoleon canvas at 150000 yen from Rat-king. with another 20000 in taxes in shipping. about $1,700.00 total. The next day they went up to 200,000 plus the same shipping and tax roughly $2,200.00. Couldn't believe it.....
Reed projects had 4 and sold one right away the other three didn't move until aft. the print drop. they where at 12,000 KR which is also roughly 2,000.00 before taxes and shipping.
Ive seen 3-4 at individual at different galleries but im pretty sure there all gone now.
Graffiti prints had one, Blackapple had one. popop.no had one.........looked at it and very glad I moved when I did.
