Yep they are going out soon, I'm covering all shipping, packing etc  so no worries but I never said they were Xmas gifts.
I'm planning to send directly after new year to miss the madness of the post office during the holidays. I have to send like 15 packages/ envelopes all over the world, I can't just pop a stamp on them.

In a year or two I think prices will settle at a bit of a higher price. But clearly this image did not resonate with Stik fans as many of his others have in the past.
On another note. I will be sending all Stik cards tomorrow

Thus the glut of unsold ebay auctions and the many "Trades Wanted" on this site... In a year or two I think prices will settle at a bit of a higher price. I was told I was added to a collectors list and that I would be notified by the gallery when they would become available ! I wasn't and had to buy on the secondary market!

I know for a fact other people emailed after me and managed to get prints still. Pretty weird waiting list.
Chris at the gallery seems like a good guy but i still think the system obviously hasn't worked.

I've just gone back through my emails and you're right they never said in writing "i promise you a print". So well done, i'm the idiot for being mislead without getting anything in writing. Forget the phone calls, forget the imaginary waiting list that clearly counted for nothing. I take it back. Top job by everyone.

Like I said I purchased on the secondary market from a very helpful forum member who didn't wanna flip for loads of $$$$$$$$$$

Also I was there in the middle of Sept and I was number 2 on the list. Which was, in fact, a spreadsheet. And that list was far far bigger than the number of prints available.
The day before the show, Stik picked out a few sets/prints for his friends/important collectors. I declined my set. Chris then started emailing from the list once the cherrypicking was done.

That has at least been my experience with pretty much all galleries in the past. They always prioritize who they are going to take care of. Folks that work in galleries are sales people, they don't want unhappy customers, sometimes they say things in a calming way and people mistake their polite way of saying "piss off" for something else. I'm sure all of their emails to everyone say:
You are important to us and we will do our best to accommodate everyone and we have registered your interest, but please understand that this is a hot commodity and we are receiving a lot of requests.
I think that loosely translates to:
We don't love taking a bunch of risk on damage or loss on international shipping so we are going to try and sell them all first and we will get to you if we cant sell them out on our own. PS, piss off
Unrelated to any single post in this thread or the multitude of others, i am always surprised at how surprised people are at the inequality of the gallery setting. It is opaque, relationship driven, and always shows preferential treatment. Folks come out of the woodwork complaining about fairness when they dont get a hot property, but where were they supporting the gallery on young up and coming artist the month before and where are they going to be in 6 months. It is always unfair, it is just a question of whether you benefited from it, lost out due to it, or were blissfully ignorant of it.

I DO feel the same because there was recently a pretty cool DAL release that I had negative-40 chance of ending up with.
