DALeast π¨π³ Wuhan, China β’ Street Art β’ Based in Cape Town, by 11 on Jan 10, 2013 11:20:15 GMT 1, I do think both prints are awesome and Dal's work is amazing but do wonder where he can take it long term. Faith47 is far more appealing and growing at a nice steady rate....

DALeast π¨π³ Wuhan, China β’ Street Art β’ Based in Cape Town, by payney on Jan 10, 2013 14:37:25 GMT 1, So I organised a deal with Payney long before this sales thread. The print was to be unframed first, inspected for damage then sold to me. Now two weeks later it's for sale and I haven't been contacted at all. If you are desperate to make a couple of extra bucks just let me know. Not the best way to do business.
Sorry man my situation has changed slightly since then + you wanted me to get the print unframed then send you photos which is totally fair but thats a week in time and about Β£50 in costs and I just don't have the time now just want a straight forward deal done, I know the print is 100% mint there not one mark on it it was never stored or rolled Gary ( mr frame man ) collected it for me straight from the printer framed it to full conservation standard ( float mount using Japanese hinging tissue,he told me was totally reversible ) the delivered it down to bristol it's not been messed about with at all.
Anyway sorry again

DALeast π¨π³ Wuhan, China β’ Street Art β’ Based in Cape Town, by jusdeep on Jan 10, 2013 14:54:42 GMT 1, I totally agree, although I prefer Dal's work at present. The same can be said for so many artists (Invader, Stik, Roa etc), but I'm sure there's plenty of milage in all their careers.

Quick backstory - (that I know some may be tired of hearing) My fiance and I commissioned Dal for a piece that spoke to love, passion, and life. We told him that we wanted to display his work at our wedding reception and all we asked was that he incorporate our wedding colors of gold and blush into the piece.
We had the pleasure of meeting Dal and Faith and the first time we saw the canvas was when he personally handed it over. Faith joked that she didn't want him to sell it anymore. They are both great people and we couldn't be happier with the result.
The title is 'Xi', meaning 'double happiness' and the phrase is often used at weddings to convey the joy of two becoming one.

so, you had a DONE DEAL with mrykuss, decided instead of working something out with him (which i'm positive could have been done), you disappear without any notice or message back to him, post for sale here and when he publicly asks you about what happened you cold shoulder him AGAIN inciting 50 pounds was the issue and then posture about your amazing japanese hinge frame....?...and STILL instead of attempting to save any grace on your face, you say "sorry, again"?..
what in the bloody balls is wrong with you? i've seen a few shady dealings around and about but this is some prime time backhanded dirty smut. bad stuff, paypotaneyplant.

DALeast π¨π³ Wuhan, China β’ Street Art β’ Based in Cape Town, by alittle on Jan 10, 2013 20:34:11 GMT 1, I agree with the OP. This is actually something I've been discussing with people privately since the detail shots of the print became available. Maybe DAL's style (airbrush) does not lend itself to making screenprints, or the screenprint itself was poorly executed. The gradation between shades is abrupt, and bears no resemblance to DAL's actual style. I am astounded that people are willing to pay upwards of $1,500 for this print. They should have stuck with what they did for the Assassin, which was a 1 layer screenprint, with some quick airbrush finishing by DAL.

DALeast π¨π³ Wuhan, China β’ Street Art β’ Based in Cape Town, by Deleted on Jan 10, 2013 20:50:49 GMT 1, These 2 prints have been held over MANY people's heads over the last 2-3 months...myself included. Payney/Potaplant, sell the things and be done with it already. They're lovely pieces and most definitely deserve to be walled somewhere to someone who's been searching for one for a long time. I believe they're being listed here as opposed to anywhere else because of a recent sale (Dal drawing) that was sold and then the deal was backed out of by Payney/Potaplant due to and undisclosed and then discovery of a crease in the paper. Sell them. Mrkyuss and Soam have been aggressively searching for quite some time. They're both great people. Make some deals, move on and good luck to you. I wish you nothing but the best. Cheers and good luck! I sold my stained PP to statik on EB forum, this only one left and will be gone today
So you snagged two? Then flipped both?
Astonishing.

I don't even think these prints are worth what you paid for them, so I'm not sure what I'm so jealous about. Your conduct elsewhere was questionable, and you deserve to be called out.

not even about being jealous, its about being proper. in the world of art collecting, theres many people who do many things that upset many people. in this case, the amount of talk and "dealings" that happened on the EB board just culminated in some pretty lowly stuff. i only consider what others have said in regards to art dealings with you. dont say one thing, make a "deal" with another, disappear and then do it all over again. you were never going to keep these pieces so the fact that you dangled them and showed no consideration to some very good people (whom you had been PM'ing with for MONTHS) just shows a dodgy hand at play. like i said before, sell em, move on and good luck.

Based on the amount of time he has in his schedule, there is just no way he could bang out 50 airbrushed pieces.
I do wish the paper was slightly larger on the Adrenaline image.
I have both prints plus an OG and I have to disagree completely with the OP.
