DALeast π¨π³ Wuhan, China β’ Street Art β’ Based in Cape Town, by Cool User Name on May 28, 2013 22:14:24 GMT 1, I get the feeling that number 4 was never meant to be found till a specific date when the venue it's at was open to the public. That would explain why they're so surprised people got to it / found it. When I got there It was covered so the builders said I was free to take down the covering to get a picture but must re-cover the wall when I'm finished. I guess they're trying to protect it from the building works. And feel that there's an event in the pipeline at that venue. This all just my theory and not based on any factual knowledge Sounds like a good theory to me, especially after seeing the latest photos of the door on Instagram with the letter box covered up.

DALeast π¨π³ Wuhan, China β’ Street Art β’ Based in Cape Town, by chaturz on May 29, 2013 18:27:08 GMT 1, So all in all this looks to have been a complete farce. On Thursday morning they were ticking off the photos albeit relatively slowly and it was actually quite exciting doing the challenge. Now they appear to have left the competition in limbo and that seems to be that. Guess Dal's people decided to head to Upfest rather than finish trawling through twitter and instagram. They would've been better off though just asking for the photos to be sent in via email rather than having a 'live' leaderboard. All a bit of a joke really. Congrats amigo looks like yours is showing up as completed now! Another forumite whos officially completed

Just noticed that I got a twitter message that just stated that I'd completed the dare. So, we shall see what the prize is. I heard a rumour that it's not a print but of course hoping that it is one and this is Dal's version of the Hirst spot challenge :-)

Think he means that your name's on the comp list but you clearly didn't actually take the pics yourself. So it's not really in the spirit of the thing if your pictures are 'borrowed' from google. Nevertheless an idea which makes more sense than running around London like a blue arsed fly!

DALeast π¨π³ Wuhan, China β’ Street Art β’ Based in Cape Town, by aa on May 30, 2013 14:48:49 GMT 1, I was abroad with work last week, so I registered but only went and took some photos today. I only got 6 of them, door 4 being to difficult to get through. I don't know if I'll get the chance to complete the dare or not, but either way it was fun seeing the pieces in the flesh, and a few other nice bits along the walk.
I think that the 4th one is probably going to coincide with a launch night of some description so will keep an eye out for any news.
Good luck to everyone else taking part!

DALeast π¨π³ Wuhan, China β’ Street Art β’ Based in Cape Town, by Happy Shopper on May 30, 2013 16:15:05 GMT 1, I think it would be pretty bad if they've planned for the 7th to not be possible until a certain date or event, and to not have mentioned it. I know there are people on the list that have photographed the 7th and still not had it approved... so who knows what Dal's playing at !!??

2 things wrong with that... 1. The whole thing becomes a farce... and a bit of a con. (Comes down to the first 50 through the door, and is a big "F You" to people that took time to rush into London when it was first announced) 2. How quickly can the first 50 upload their last picture? (Imagine how funny if there was no signal in the tunnel!)

I guess this comes down to just being poorly planned. It's a shame these things never seem to go smoothly.

We are forever being suckered into your games, and I hope you are having fun, because getting the cold shoulder from someone is definitely not. Easier to get a hoop over a goldfish bowl.

It would have been much more surprising if this had actually gone to plan. Remember the Christmas comp that was a shambles. Anyways, hopefully Dal will sort this and the winners get whatever the prize is.

DALeast π¨π³ Wuhan, China β’ Street Art β’ Based in Cape Town, by Deleted on May 30, 2013 20:54:55 GMT 1, Personally I think that if an artist (or anyone else) is going to ask people to take some time out of their lives in the pursuit of something, then it's reasonable that an element of planning has gone into it and people don't come out of it feeling like they've wasted their time?
This is just basic civility and being an artist (or POW) shouldn't excuse this principle.

Beats sitting in front the PC developing tunnel vision, no?

SAN only appeared to release a certain percentage of their allocated run, the knock your nuts out around London in the vague hope you happened to be near whatever park it was didn't work so well either.....shambles really. Piss up in a brewery.....

Piss up in a brewery..... It was public knowledge that only half the Adrenaline edition would be released via that method. It only didn't work well for the people who didn't succeed, four or five of whom because of that south American family. A lesson learnt but hardly a shambles. At the end of the day, each event is an offer. No-one is making you do it and those who do know the risk. I expect to read elation and disappointment but it grinds me to read bitching.

If some of you have the feeling that you have been ripped of or that you waste time and that your whole world is collapsing...or what so ever... GET A LIFE !!! We are just talking about street art and a game... that's it. They will be some winners and some losers, but believe me, IMHO, nobody will die... And knowing Dal and his friends, if they promised something for the best 50s, they will deliver something for the best 50s... so... just be patient (we are very good for that in Schwitzerland...)
