I sent her one to make up for it. So she got one in the end. I think that anyone not intending to send should drop out how, no hard feelings, and all that. I don't want to be sending two again this year ;-)
On another note I sent on what I thought was nicely put together package for a newer contributor but never heard any thing from them, whether they liked it/received or thought it should be thrown in the bin! Think that bothered me more than not receiving something!

Pretty much if your gift is deemed "good enough" you might get an invite to the Syndicate. If not , years of f5ing wait ahead
