Last Barcode I tried was won by Andipa (only to resell it back at ยฃ120K) and now this never-heard-of Dutch one ! Such a shame, I'm gutted (even though I knew the outcome even before the auction started) ;-(

Such a shame, I'm gutted (even though I knew the outcome even before the auction started) ;-( To be honest, they know the same thing we all do and that's that the dreweatts and bonhmas of the world don't have the clientele to sell into like sotheby's and chrisitie's. Therefore, since those galleries are in the art moving business it's best to restock on average at the smaller auction houses. |

The Barcode was cheap in comparison to other originals that have come up but on the day it was market value. There are opportunities in every auction and you should never assume something will make its money....
