Early Banksy Art, by Deleted on Feb 7, 2017 21:27:31 GMT 1, not gone through all 29 pages so apologies if already posted.
Someone told me they got this from a garage in Bristol many years ago and was supposedly a Banksy. I said I didn't reckon it was but sometimes think it could be?

I've seen this piece... it's an early banksy no doubt...

Early Banksy Art, by Deleted on Feb 8, 2017 22:10:08 GMT 1, I found the email. He said it was a Banksy. I knew B when he worked in the corner of our workshop in Bristol. I used to promote party's back in the day. U may have herd of them Brainstorm, Universe's Tribal Gathering, Big Love & The Final Frontier. An offshoot from that was a Inflatable firm called Star Virus (U may have seen the Star shaped sculptures in clubs (amongst other things). It since changed its name to Inflatable systems).
Anyways I thought he would make it (not quite as well as he has made it ) but make it well enough to warrant me investing something in him, i had a little dosh at the time so i approached him & basically told him the above & would he sell me somethings so when he was famous i could make a load of money, he laughed & told me to f**koff, but not without 'giving me' The Funky Drummer'. He also signed it & dedicated it to me on the reverse with his full signature.
Soon after that I left the country (Long-boarded around the Himalayas for 9 months) & got into different thing when i returned. The Funky drummer was put up in the drumming booth at the Big Love Studios in Bath for 5 years soaking up the beats no doubt. So 5-6 years Later he starts actually getting famous & I staRT THINKING i got one of those. The studio was still working but not as Big Love,s & I went to retrive it, of course the place had been decorated by then & the picture wasn,t hanging up any more. I was assured it was there but after some time of the guy looking in places i could see he was getting wound up, so i said to him to let me look while he got on. He agreed but the thing was all the cupboards & alcoves were full of white boxes all exactly the same. I thought o my god im gonna have to start opening boxes. So i moved a couple & opened one & guess what out of hundreds of boxes that was the one with it in, it was there smiling up at me, ment to be eh?
So thats the story, interestingly it shows something of his nature eh? I never knew him well but enough to get the drummer.

It certainly looks in the style of some other similar paintings he did around the same time, a few of which still seem to be around. I've a friend who's restored a similar work. Has the guy been in touch with Pest Control? I live in Bath so if there's any more tatty old Banksys knocking around that studio I can help

Maureen with the deep voice and size 9 feet? She just looked at me kinda funny when I asked so I changed the subject and had a flutter on Empire of Dirt who's running at the Cheltenham Festival later in the week
