sandra chevrier geisha screen print , by jayTown on Jan 30, 2014 22:51:38 GMT 1, Saint, i just can tell you that i'm the happy owner of another Chevrier and once framed and on my wall it's changed the whole atmosfear of the place. So today i was awaiting this release so badly and i can say that i'm really happy having got a blue one as i found it was the most beautifull with the color used with the silk screen. There is many different taste with art. With Sandra, and for the first time, my wife and myself were on the same point of view !! We love it both, and it has never happend before  The cage serie is just awesome mate So now if you're gonna take another drink, cheers it on us :happy and proud owner of her work. And thanks Sandra Chevrier we love your work and keep it that way...i can't wait to see the Star Wars serie !!! Thanks for the reply, and cheers to you both! It's always good when you find something you both agree on, for us it was our hush pair, we both love them, but for different reasons. As I said I wasn't tying to annoy anyone, I just see nothing I like in the style she uses and wanted to hear from someone about who did see something.
Jokes aside I love the two conflicting mediums she uses. The classical style portrait mixed up with modern day comic. There's something quite unapologetically bold and striking about it whilst also feeling quite subtle and refined.
Looking forward to getting it up on the wall.

I also understand your feelings. The thread was a "concours" so to win a print...in the same time the gallery is doing the marketing job on it...just all about business! And art is not escaped itself from it neither...to get back about miss Chevrier's work it's true that's surely lots of those will end up on the bay. It's already there but I'm sure lots will also find warm homes where it will be loved some way...may it brings sweet memories of childwood, may you love comics, may you ever dreamed of Being a superheroes or heroine, may even "the chicks" give you a kick of an hard one....if it's make you happy and free when you look at it. I think the red which is what I got. Almost went for the blue, but think there's something to this one with the red. Im sure both are awesome though. |

I had a quick look at work and it's looks great in the flesh. Whether the image is for you or not there's not denying the work gone into the screen printing.
Looking forward to getting this up on the wall....just need a suitable excuse to get this past the art police

I remember when you could buy her originals for $200. I think there was a time when they were $100... And her prints now are double that price! Crazy!
