The general public don't drive the markets of artists. Os Gemeos might no be as popular as Banksy (or whoever) with the general public but Os Gemeos is far more coveted by the art community. There is no other artist in the urban/street art genre on the same level. Banksy/KAWS/McGee are up there as well as Fairey and Futura but they've all still got work to do if they want to challenge Os Gemeos' position.
P.S. Sorry if I missed out any artists who are up there with the best!

If there were other prints by the twins available the percieved value would be less as rarety would be less. Frankly, I think they were brilliant in holding off this long and pricing at $4500 US. Now they can do a drop a year at that price point and rake in 450K in guaranteed revenue until this urban art bubble explodes due to over saturation.

However congrats to anyone that did and who flips for a profit because quite frankly who can afford not to.

And if they relegate it to 1 release a year I think they'll still be able to stay afloat above the rest of the 'oversaturaters'. They're beloved and although in the immediate ripple people are scorned by the high price, I think over time that'll subside especially if combined with a lengthy period between print releases. |

Allegedly this happened to 100's of people and hence the delay replying. However, 99prints are telling me the payment didn't go through, when my credit card company confirm it did - so it would probably be wise to initiate a charge back claim, as they think they have nothing to refund.

I can seriously say that I have written an art blog even if its more graffiti relatated and abstract art for the past 4 years. I am on the internet alot due to work and blogging which means I look at art hours at a time and read all major art blogs so forth. Until I became a member of this forum I had no idea who Dolk was, Martin Whatson, Dotdot and artists of this type. I have no idea how they slipped by me or maybe I never really paid attention but I never knew who these artists were, I knew artists like dface, stik, faile, bast, etc but I am still amazed how little I knew about these street artists. Maybe because I am american but these artists dont seem to pushed out here at all. I still dont know what that means but I have now learned about these artists because this forum, I continue to find out about artists regularly on here.

They allow over ordering then don't apologise, have no contact phone number, seem to be screwing up credit card payments. Given the amount people are prepared to pay they should be delivering a far better service. Just reading what people are saying about them, I find it amazing they aren't receiving more criticism.

I received a reply last night explaining about the glitch in their system and that my order was safe. I also got a notification email of change of status to preparation in progress.
People who have orders now are just nervous because of how much the real value of the print is at this point. That congratulations letter is an automatic extra 5k usd (at least) on the assets side of your balance sheet.
