He has his own print studio

If I wanted to release a print anonymously under a new moniker I wouldn't use my own print studio. ;-)

Most of you know who it is, you just usually all slag it off and never buy it under his own name..hence, "take away the brand..and what do you have left"..sales ! haha, clever stuff.

Fanboys who were posting about the Outis stuff 2 days before GP even announced the release on this board....Sounds to me like they knew already about the mysterious artist. And how about my cake... it seems i've got some skills isn't?

My involvement in this sure back fired.

I found a link to the fake Facebook page via swedish street art blog gatukonst.se  (link doesn't seem to work: www.facebook.com/gatukonst.se ) on Facebook. They also thought it was an official Banksy page and was intrigued. I convinced them it was fake and they deleted their post and made a new one where they explained that.

My curiosity made me look into it (I'm pretty good at finding out things on the web, if I may say so myself) and post here on this thread as I supposed someone should know something. And soon afterward Graffiti Prints posted that they were behind the release first on my thread and then started this. The rest you know.

Read my posts and you'll see I've been very critical to the way this was released. I think GP has tried to play dumb and they didn't reply to any of the questions I asked. They sure know more than what they say.

I couldn't believe the reaction this had. And not in a good way.

I haven't had time to read all posts on the thread and I won't be able to follow much in the next few days if there are any more questions to me. Read the first few pages and I think you'll see where I stand.

the link was for bansky.co.uk not banksy.co.uk i know i saw it clicked the link then manually through google went to banksy link. Come on gnkpnk what you hiding punk.

So, I would like to hear from the David Icke following conspiracy theorists on the board as to why someone who is impersonating Banksy continues to post facebook messages in awful ESL.

No real mystery the main focus of most of the posts is money. 

This isn't true so you shouldn't be posting it as fact maybe. You can send GP an image and they'll print it for you, for a straight fee or if they like it, for a cut. They're a screenprint shop. The make prints for people. Your grandma could send them a file and if they thought it was ok, would print it. That's what screenprint shops do. They don't ask you for your birth certificate and ID. So, GP do not know who the artist is, that's a FACT.

haha, first part of this thread was pretty entertaining, but that right there is hilarious.  I'm guessing we jumped the shark years ago but now we're entering post-urban urban art movement.  The snake is eating itself!

They liked it. They can be no more certain it's Banksy than you or I can. They receive a jpeg from an email address. They sell urban art prints, it's related and relevant, they thought they give it a punt. That's it really right ?. I don't think people are pissed off because it transcends the boards ethics.. this board isn't generally known for its sense of ethics is it ?. The artists maybe are and some of the old school members, but certainly not the board in general. It's mainly populated by speculators, flippers and part time supporters. Note the outrage that the VNA Swoon cover wasn't signed, The Os Gem thread etc etc. This print simply holds up a mirror to what certain parts of this collectors scene has become.
