Go do what you tell your friends you do, and PAINT the streets.

Stop advertising yourself as a street artist when you do f**k all on the streets.

I'm with you. If you have sold more art than you have put on the street you are not a street artist. If you put art on the street as a promotional tool to sell your art, you are not a street artist. 

The worst thing that the rise in popularity of Banksy and the graf scene in general has produced is the arm chair artists who are too shit to use a paintbrush to paint anything worth seeing who have decided that spraying a badly cut 1 layer stencil piece on canvas of an over used cliché of an idea without ever leaving their home is a good idea. Stencils have made it easy, and so called artists lazy.
Not saying all stencil artists of course, and as i have said many times if you take a badly cut stencil out and you spray the streets then great, but don't do it once, then decide that the world wants it on their walls and make a canvas edition of 100.
