People probably brought to flip and then failed.
Also his originals are only about ยฃ300. So why buy a print?

The previous release (Werewolf) had quite a bit of demand due to the low edition size (35). As such, the gallery releasing the print apparently decided to triple the overall edition size for Hunger. The capitalists were not aware that the overall interest in Bisser was limited and that the market would not bear the price increases necessary to take a profit.

That makes alot of sense. I like his work and hope to see a smart edition release alongside some new work shore the demand side of his market.

I enjoyed the backstories for the various artworks. Particularly the Fiere Margriet image. Thanks for going to the effort to share and I love, love, love seeing Bisser's sketchbooks. Seeing any artist's sketchbooks is always a treat, but Bisser's are particularly sweet.
