I'm not holding my breath that something meaningful comes out of this 'message' from BNE tonight. I have a feeling it will be more confusing shit and finger-pointing at Animal for causing the whole scam nonsense.

Well my personal opinion is there was in fact a plan for this and probably conversations with Banksy and for whatever reason BNE thought it was good to go and it was not come game time. Once the cat was out of the bag I am sure there was a very quick "wait a minute I never said XYZ" et cetera and the plan fell through. I also think that is why there was so much desperation in the aftermath that something might eventually work out...and who knows it may but the ship has sailed IMO. I think it would be an enormous stretch for anyone to think BNE conjured up this entire scam and promoting the hell out of it all over and it only gets called out that day? ya right. The plan fell through or BNE misinterpreted a conversation but I am going with the former. If it was a scam from day one my guess is you certainly would have heard from PC/Banksy prior. Just to play devils advocate, hell for all we know Banksy could be the one that made a verbal deal and backed out on BNE the last minute. Point is there is no way BNE knew from day one that this was going to be an enormous scam. Certainly not defending BNE, I just refuse to believe a scam of this level could have happened without a peep from anyone prior. Not like PC has much else to do besides answer emails and sift through shady ebay listings |

2. If you got a refund because of this mess and confusion, you 100% have the right to do so
3. Charity:water is a solid organization and it sucks they have been hurt in any way by this
4. If you have posted 10x in this forum because you are pissed you didn't get a tee that's worth 10x what you paid, you have serious problems and a completely F'd perspective
5. If your name is not BNE or Banksy, you don't actually know what happened here
6. BNE made a mistake, it could be assuming he had his deal in the bag when he actually didn't which perhaps was shortsighted and not malicious, or he completely stole money. He is trying to do damage control either as a result of the situation and his desire to keep his charity in tact, or because he is scamming us, WE DO NOT KNOW.
7. There is no reason to argue, as you have the ability to believe whatever story you want, and also to act accordingly by getting you $$$ back, donating to charity:water, or doing nothing.
The truth may never come out, but making accusations with 100% conviction for any case is ridiculous. We should all just push for BNE or Banksy to give us the truth and get it over with, so that our hard earned money goes where we intended, for whatever reason that may be.

Last time I checked, you don't require the services of a developer to update your social media sites.

I really wish him well but I hope he tries to clear things up before moving forward with another sale. If he uses a different paypal account to collect more money, I think that is really the final draw for me.
I have also emailed Bucky that if they wanted to be considered real journalists, they should get a court order for Paypal to release the actual number of orders that went through the BNE account during the hour that the buy buttons were up.
