New Faile Print Release, by randomname on Apr 24, 2014 18:50:02 GMT 1, you could ask the framer to do a glass front and back, he could cut 2 mounts same size for front and back so the glass is raised off both sides of the print, would be a shame to cover that up Based on what they've done to the backs that is the obvious choice. Not doing that is displaying only part of the project, I've seen numerous glass front & back in galleries and museums and always looks great. I looked into doing a window on the back. The issue for me was I wanted to float it on top of a 1/8" piece of foam core to raise it off the mat. It would have been tricky to do that and still put a window on the back. The back image would have been cropped quite a bit. So I just went with a standard white gallery frame floated on white.

A professional framer can do double-sided without any of the issues you mention. It is all a matter of personal taste and the skills of the framer. I brought my Ballet print to a NYC framer that does much of the local gallery work, they did an amazing job floating it whereas another framer I've used for a large D*Face did not do as good a job.
