Ernest Zacharevic ๐ฑ๐น Penang, Malaysia Street Art , by ABC on Mar 31, 2014 12:38:52 GMT 1, abc can you give a link to his work? As said, me never hearing of the guy doesn't mean he hasn't been around for awhile, it would be good to see what he's done, whether on the streets or during his MA. Apart from the links to his site and a few on here then no. He is pretty new to me too but that makes it more exciting.

Nice, thanks sal. That piece with the girl propped up on the windows is fantastic.
Edit: as is this placement. Good stuff, still think 400 is high but market forces and all that...

The prices are def high given we don't know how serious he is about building a career as an artist, being represented by a gallery, if he'll get bored next year and do something else etc etc Erm, he's been doing street art for quite a while. Sell out exhibitions in Asia, commissioned by Penang's government to do many of the art pieces you find on the streets. Also in Singapore as well. Young yes, but not just some young gun...

Iโve enjoyed seeing photos of Zachโs street work over the last year or so. As others have commented, I too like the way he places his outdoor work; particularly, the interaction between the painted imagery and real world objects he incorporates. Whilst he clearly draws inspiration from a number of his street art peers, he makes the imagery his own. Heโs undoubtedly a very talented guy and Iโm certain the prints will absolutely fly (even at these prices).
Having said all that, with this particular print I just canโt help feeling that weโve seen it dran before (and with a little more humour). To me it feels just a little too formulaic (at least the different versions posted so far), which is a criticism I wouldnโt apply to most of Zachโs street work (I do appreciate the print is based on a street piece too). Either way, heโs someone I can see being around for some time, if heโs so inclined and his career is managed properly.

i am trying to get them all up on the release page today so everyone can see them all.
as for management, he has the best manager in the world, everyone needs a gabi as a manager i would get 10 times more done, she is s**t hot and very well liked by everyone who has met her.....

Furthers me realizing when I got the link from Jonathan Levine that I should have bought the Pose, which was a 16 color silkscreen for $350, I believe an edition of 50.
These are nice.

GP - you're always quick to stand up for your artists and are passionate about their work, which is a great! Overall, I'm a big fan of Zach's work. I'm sure his manager is great too - I don't know her! Plus, the print quality will no doubt be up to your usual high standards and the level of hand-finishing is to be commended (as you say, some are close to being originals).
Though equally I'll stick by my comment that this particular print release feels somewhat formulaic to me. Perhaps that is exacerbated by the fact that most of Zach's street work and the installations are so much more interesting. The various versions of the Style Wars print I've seen so far, whether here or on Instagram, have looked either like a Dran lite or draw a little too heavily on widely used street art iconography. Obviously, I'll reserve final judgment until I've seen them all.
Good luck with the sale - although you definitely won't need it. As I said, these prints will fly!

Ernest Zacharevic ๐ฑ๐น Penang, Malaysia Street Art , by motor on Mar 31, 2014 14:51:04 GMT 1, It is what it is. My 2ps
Likes on Facebook don't mean usually that much. You can buy that amount for few hundred quid. Once again example of modern and targeted advertising from the new upcoming online galleries. But it will sell out very quick. No doubt. Get one if you can and care about the profit. It will be sold for much more on the secondary market, pretty much quaranteed.
They will sell in no time so the price is right (if not underpriced as for a while they will sell for more on the secondary). I don't really care as long as it is won't be used as an determing factor for the quality of the art produced.
I agree here. I can't help not to compare it to the stuff which we have seen here before. And because of that it feels to me very formulaic and targeted especially for the likes of this forums' audience (Tox vs. Tube? Seriously???). As for the street work, I do like some of it but again to me it feels more staged to look like an interaction, rather than an actual spontaneous interaction with the surroundings.

Think they're all going to be gone in a flash but personally like pigeons (shame there's two), skeleton rocking horse, cockerel.
Looking forward to this drop!

I guess some of the hand finished ones could've been but this would drive me mad. Reminds me in this respect of the MBW London print, but this guy seems to have some great images so definitely one to watch.
