These releases are such a bun fight - any chance of a more civilised lottery type approach in the future? Would help those of us with slow web connections.
That said I expect I won't have any joy with the Faile either!
Well done to those who got what they wanted.

That sounds worrying
That's only ever happened once with big cartel for a whatson aluminium and it was because one customer had issues logging into PayPal after check out and PayPal did not send the sale info back so sale did not register
Rest assured we will look into it ASAP as we list sales into our spreadsheet First one to catch it by time will get it and other we will try to sort something out!
No a/p's as of yet just a couple of spares in the main about 3. If they do turn into a/ps we will sell later in the year at a big show we have planned
Thanks for your support

I like the excitement of the bunfight - the elation if you're successful is great! With the lottery system, generally the people who create the most email accounts win.

Just got out of meetings didn't get any notification of when the drop was though if it was an out and out bun fight then congrats to those that scored. Best release from the last few weeks well done GP. Not on the lack of notification but for bringing another decent artist to the roster.

Ernest Zacharevic 🇱🇹 Penang, Malaysia Street Art , by Happy Shopper on Apr 3, 2014 11:50:28 GMT 1, Probably printed differently, maybe a slightly different size... but still a bad move by the artist !
Pretty sure Dran would have called ALL of them a varied edition (just with some more unique than others). e.g, I Love You, where most have a standard girl, and a bunch have a ton of extra differences... but aren't numbered 1/1, and weren't priced higher !

I've heard people talking about this before but have no idea what a 'bot' is!

I would be very surprised if anyone had a bot involved here. Simple fact is there were a small amount of prints that lots of people wanted... not surprising they went in a few seconds. Simple mathematics. No conspiracy.

Ernest Zacharevic 🇱🇹 Penang, Malaysia Street Art , by Deleted on Apr 3, 2014 14:10:46 GMT 1, a co-worker of mine bought a bot of ebay for $5 and was able to buy a pair of Jordans for the first time in his life.... so they do work. not necessarily saying the same thing is happening in the art world, but it just seems crazy that for the past 2 GP drops I clicked to add to the cart the second they went online, and had no luck.... and I have crazy fast internet speed at my house

I really can't see how something like that can help... all checkouts are different, and for many sites there are little tricks that people work out to check out faster... Mondo, Obey, etc have tricks... and there's form autofill applications to help too.

I'll try to find it), a programmer can easily change the code to work for a specific site. The bots basically just click "add to card" over and over and over again at lighting fast speed. Then once in the cart, you have to manualy finish checkout yourself

Ernest Zacharevic 🇱🇹 Penang, Malaysia Street Art , by londonmackam on Apr 3, 2014 14:34:31 GMT 1, Well I managed to bag one and no bots were involved thats for sure. Think it comes down to pure sheer luck. I clicked the instant the add to cart appeared and got the sold out sign. I went back in 30 secs later refreshed a few times and someone must of released one from the cart and it came available.
I've missed out on so many prints and bought a few later on secondary market so this time was just my turn
