Who will have the last laugh on this release - the art market, JR, or this forum? While I would not want this print (I have too much JR stuff in my place now) I think it works in a Jonathan Borofsky kind of way and with the name value I could see collectors being persuaded to add this to their collection.
Plus 99 of these to feed worldwide demand seems like a pretty good chance of moving these.
As to pricing...based on the Zacharevic reselling it appears some are trying to get true market value for their work rather than putting money in flippers' pockets.

Agreed, one can always end the auction up to 12 hours before. Starting low gets more bidders, caught in the excitement of bidding against each other.
